MF batteries are bombs! mad.gif

I'm waiting for this one to die out next year before I get a conventional one from Malaysia. I kinda like the Yokohama Flat Top but it is the most expensive! Going for MYR190-200! I think the Yuasa will be so much better. Heck! Even the FB seen under lorries will be better!

Seems like Yokohama Flat Top no DIN66. Are Yokohama & Yuasa rate available in Giant in JB? If not, where got big selection range for good spec/design conventional Yokohama or Yuasa.

14.2v at start-up - this is a surface charge reading not the acutal battery charge status.Since you mentioned that yr rid engine bay temp is very high,I strong suggest you keep away from replacing with a MF battery - generally they are not able to withstand high temp. The slow and un-notice seepage of battery water vapore via the battery casing joints overtime will kill the battery prematurely.

Coventional flood battery is still considered the most suitable for car engine bay application. [thumbsup] Reqular bi-weekly check and replenishing loss battery water with a hydrometer can go a long way to keep the battery healthy.
