Should I take action OR Should I let it slide?

So you see... I got my car and the cleaner (Indian) at my place asks if I would like him to wash on a daily basis. I politely declined as I know sure kena those swirl marks one and I found out (last saturday) that my passenger door dented with abit of paint scraped off.

 

I suspected its done by him and this was confirmed by my sources (they saw and filmed it down).

 

So should I take action or should I let it slide?

 

This guy is here on contract basis and is trying to make more $$$ so that he can return and set up his own business. Hardworking fella and all but to go to the extend of doing this after being rejected is just plain ridiculous.

 

Curiously... I'm not very angry.

1. If you have politely declined (polite is a relative term) he has no reason to do that.

2. Are you sure there is a video of him doing the dent? What are the chances of your friend being there at that time with a camera turned on ready to film a split second dent by the said suspect?

well, whether he hardworking or not, or he needs to make money to send home, doesn't give him the excuse to vandalise other peopls's car if they refuse his business. u have evidence against him, n u r letting it slide which is really nice of u, but the least u should do is to let him know that he has comitted a crime but u r giving him a second chance, so that he knows n won't pull the same trick on another guy again.
