Question abt bmw 320I

Hi... need your help on this matter. My friend told me that a bmw 320i is an all-wheel drive but i seem to recall it being a rear wheel drive so a bit confused. can anyone of you enlighten me on this? thanks so much.

one way to tell whether a bmw is awd it shud haf the X behind the numbers. example wud be like 328XI or 535XI. I'm nt sure if they offer 4 cylinder engines as awd.

Firstly....are you talking about Singapore context?

Is this friend of yours talking about his experience of BMW in USA or Europe or Finland?

 

The only BMW 3 series in Singapore got 4WD could be a special import.

What BMW is more famous for is their RWD cars. Most of their cars are RWD. However, they also make 4WD cars, which as someone already said has an "X" in the badge. So a 330Xi for example is a 330i with 4 wheel drive system.

for the rim weight, i am not sure.

320i is able to feed in 19inch rim.

advisable or not, it is depending on the driver.

i would recommend at least 323i or higher for that set of 19inch..

19" definitely can fit. Aesthetically, it is swee.

 

The best combo for 320 is definitely 17" light weight rim like Volk Racing. It will improve butt feel.

19" too big for 320i to handle, pick up sure kena affect. 17" should be the best for 320i.

dunno the wt of the original rim but they are on run flat and pretty much spoils the ride. Anyway, they look too small.

 

19" are way to big for 320 and creates too much drag and road noise. You get this constant Wong-wong-wong that drives you nut. I suspect they haf an advese effect on the suspension too.

 

18" are the best compromise and ditch the run flats if you are not going Malaysia often.
