A WOMAN was spared from going to jail for running a brothel and for corruption - thanks to her nine-month old baby girl. Li Chunmei, 40, a Chinese national, was instead fined a total of $15,000 on four charges.

.

.

The court heard that when police raided Mei Yuen on Dec 28, 2006, three women who had provided sexual services were arrested. The business also did not have a valid licence for a massage parlour. Li, who had registered the business under Low's name, collected $100 a day form each of the three women.

Anyone knows if foreigners who are convicted of crimes here get sent back home? $15K is nothing to this FT considering that her 'income' alone was a least $9K a month (3 chickens x 30 days x $100 a day).

Sent back to their own countries or not...is not a straight forward rule on it!

Who knows....if the 'chicken' can breed...the Sillies might allow her to stay and lay some egges here! [sly][laugh][laugh][laugh]

Even if they got sent back, they will still try to come back with a different identiity.

Remember the Huang Na's case where the mother marred her finger prints and took on a different identity to come back to Singapore.

They are very flexible.

Yes. This type will get sent back.

Monday morning Jetstar flights sometimes have VN girls kenna escorted to the plane with masking tape on clothing (like bobo shooters with white tape on helmet).

There was also a news on NEWPAPER Monday,

One Maid stole $11k from employee, quickly remit it back Home.

Employer found out first time $8k, give chance never report police.

Finally made police report only after the second time when maid stole $3k.

Now maid going to jail for a few weeks only. (Free food, free lodging)

I think maid come out will be sent back home.

Very smart maid....$11k in just a few months in Singapore.

What is stopping her to change passport, come back to Singapore again.

Repeat the same scam again.

My opinion, too. Another one: http://news.asiaone.com/News/AsiaOne%2BNew...0612-70444.html

Accomplice in kidnap scam jailed

A CHINA national was jailed for nine months on Thursday for conspiring with others in a bid to cheat a man of $100,000 in a kidnap scam.

Ren Ting Ming, 30, admitted to trying to deceive retiree Goh Boo Sing, 55, of the amount for the safe return of his son on April 10.

.

.

Wonder how much it costs taxpayers a year to send these buggers back?
