Zafira18 1st Gear July 12, 2008 Share July 12, 2008 Just a suggestion: Due to our local built-up,( especially in shenton way), tunnel, HDB flats cluster, is very important to look for addition sensor. 1. For in-car type, eg SVDO or those factory fitted, they come with a speed sensor which the GPS tap the speed from the car CPU. 2. For portable type, eg Tom Tom, the GPS fitted a G-force sensor. With these 2 kind of sensor, the GPS still work when lost of satellite signal, especially inside tunnel and in between tall building. Cheers

5936 1st Gear July 8, 2010 Share July 8, 2010 I have 2 GPS. One built in the ICE. a China brand, very slow to complete start up for use-- in minutes, and can "hang" when in heavily built up area. so I give up using it. Bought a Germin 1350- so much faster, like current maps, with pop up image with lane markers at major intersection. Consider also map update facilities. Garmin -offer free update. Some no update. Tibo- update during warranty. That's all I know, perhaps others can add on:
