Seriously it all boils down to TS need ...

Honda Stream is another option ...Me and and buddy was deciding btw this 2 cars when hunting for cars ...

He need the Car space to occasionally ferry more people ...for me i know i no need that extra space ...

For Airwave , it's more of a utility car ...Enough to sit 5 person ....just enough for me to put in my bicycle (without having to hang the bicycle outside) ...fishing trips etc ...(I can just open the hatch ...sit behind the boot and throw my rod ...and the hatch can act as a shelter from rain and sun) There is no raise platform behind and is lower...so two person can sit behind comfortably ...

Stream i believe can perform as above ...but there is a slight platform behind and is taller....so sitting is not that comfortable ...

For me i personally like the Airwave Moonroof ..(Come with the price of slightly higher insurance though) But of course ...Compromise the loss of power to a 1.8L Stream ...There's always a good and bad side of things of course ...1.5L cheaper road tax is one thing i consider also ...

Only disadvantage i find is that Hatchback cars are not really suitable for Multi Storey carpark....drive one and you will know ....

As for my friend Stream ...other than the occasion need to ferry 7 person ..(Once in a blue moon) Most of the time ...the backseats are folded ....But then the advantage is that he got an alternative option ...For me cannot ...

Price diff between both car that time i bought was around 3K ...

Another thing is AW is PI ...While Stream can opt for both AD or PI ...

(Hope i am not sounding like a Honda SE ...Haha) Just my personal opinion ....

Hi all,

Would like suggestions on which Sedan Car has the biggest available bootspace?

Assuming no preference of makes and with range of $40k-$80k and not exceeding 2l.

Thanks

Renault Megane. Massive boot (all 520l of it) for its class, though if you really need cargo space, you should be looking at wagons like the airwave, optra, or even the megane wagon.

Yeah... wagons are really load luggers and yet offer sedan car driving dynamics...

Not necessarily a good thing with the driving dynamics as hatches offer better driving dynamics thanks to the positioning of the wheels closer to the edges of the car as well as lesser load past the axles.

problems:

70kph

no way can compare against sedans for speed, holding etc

your friends will ask you: what??? you bought a what???? a pig karp????? [shakehead]

Somehow I get the impression that this will lead to an advertisement for some car? [sweatdrop]

If your question is "Sedan Car has the biggest available bootspace?" the the answer is quite obvious.

Yr answer is a statistical data which can be found when you shop around the dealers. Or are you asking for a subjective or objective answer?

For an objective answer just call AD and ask bootspace volume. Because none of us can answer you as you are looking for a subjective opinion here, I think.

I was just thinking that according to some reviews i read of the touring and avant models offering better dynamics due to weight distribution...

megane one of the biggest swallowers in the business, but the price a little past his budget, but now with their low 50s price tags, very worthy buy
