Fcw75 Hypersonic July 15, 2020 Share July 15, 2020 Quick drop and go is fine. No one to catch you anyway.
Volvobrick Hypersonic July 15, 2020 Share July 15, 2020 (edited) Double yellow zig zag is no stopping. Single yellow zig zag is no waiting. White zig zag I think is to warn that there is a zebra crossing ahead. Stopping should not earn you a ticket. But be considerate and not block anyone, especially if it is me...! 13177 Hypersonic July 15, 2020 Share July 15, 2020 (edited) Even there is a blue signboard, many people also stop and drop. Like my house downstairs service road, put up a red signboard and a cam saying fine up to $1,000 if parked. But i still see some cars parked there, dont know if the cam will really zoom in to take down car plate and fine them? Kb27 Supersonic July 15, 2020 Share July 15, 2020 Only double yellow zig-zag lines you have to worry, if you stop, even for a second to drop off or pick up. Also watch out for many mrt with camera, don't wait there. Drop-off or pick-up and go immediately after. There are people watching you on the camera, waiting to issue fine. I stopped before for a few minutes at one of those spots before I realised, faster drive off. Didn't get letter.

Technically it's an offence under Stopping in a zebra controlled (or more commonly known as zebra crossing) area. 3 points $150. But then think alot of people are doing it, as long don't cause inconvenience to other vehicles I think close one eye offence. Unless u do it right in the eyes of TP or LTA officer. Not stop for a while when the driver is inside the car lo.

I find nowadays quite risky to stop and drop at mrt station, unless you stop and drop at designated car drop off point. Even so i noticed the signage also not clear, cause the car drop off point and taxi stand are together, many times you also have no idea which is which until you have stopped your car. There are also camera at the taxi stand at those mrt station, dont know if you stop wrongly at the taxi stand and drop off your passenger, will you tio fine? Doesn't matter how many times you see other cars park or wait there . From the pic , i can tell that once a car is parked or waiting there , it cause inconvenience to the pedestrians. So i would say don't park or wait there.
Dafansu Turbocharged July 18, 2020 Share July 18, 2020 There's already a No waiting sign in the photo. Vehicles may stop for immediate pick-up and drop-off only. ↡ Advertisement
