Viva and Myvi is more like rebadging and mInor change to the car only using Daihatsu and Toyota engines and with Perodua 80% under UMW Toyota it's not surprise they're more fuel efficient and light.Engine use timing chain but tell u the body structure is not as strong as Proton.Toyota Wish is adequate cos using 1.8 engine and imagine if they use 1.5 or 1.6 think almost d same as Exora CPS pick up.But seriously since Proton use CVT for their CPS Exora Executive the lag on pick up is much improve..

welding service? the workshop we go to can do welding, mainly for exhaust not sure if they can do other stuff

JB i think RM200+ can get solar film that is SG approved..

 

Solar film grade goes by price due to the amount of heat rejection it can throw off, the higher the heat rejection the more ex it is... darker doesnt mean better... my car came with solar film and the windscreen top came with one piece darker than the rest that is actually tinted film for design purpose... for 2 yrs i wonder why is my car hotter than normal then i realise its that tinted film that is absorbing heat.. so i add on a solar film now the car is ok... if not can literally melt and get sun burn while driving..

 

i should organise a trip to JB for all proton drivers and introduce the workshop that most perodua people in the kcs club goes to... at least you guys go there they wont cheat you when they know you...

 

Thanks for the info. Anyway I've done the following in JB workshop at Perling :

1) solar film at rm580 ( I think it's a mid range )

2) door ss steel side step with blue light rm300

3) door side bumper rm280

4) side mirror control link to remote lock rm250. Side mirror will auto closed when car is remote lock.

5) door Windsor visitor mugen ram150

 

I'm not sure if it's cheaper at other JB workshop. Would love to follow U guys to other JB workshops.

 

At the moment my Exora CFE ride is smooth. Hope it stay smooth

i only do normal or major servicing when i reach the said mileage... like 80k is the most expensive servicing for me spend about rm800 to change timing belt coolant, fan belt, aircon belt, ebgine oil, brake pads, atf, brake fluid...

yes parts and labour from perodua direct... if i did it at external shop it would have been rm600+

yes proton has heavier body thats why their smallest cc is 1200 on savvy but the design of the engine and gearbox is amazing... lotus and renault have tied up with proton and what they good for? fast cars and renault fast n family cars (that can go fast)..i drove a waja in msia before, awesome car, loved every part of it... i opened the door and it knocked into a pole(those u find at carpark for no reason) there was a loud thud!!! no dent just a 2cm paint chip, impressive!!

 

myvi was out wayy before viva in 2006... viva made in 2008... viva is much smaller in width and in boot space compare to myvi.. myvi is broader and more spacious in many ways, the mvyi is 4 cylinder engine 1.3... viva is 3 cylinder engine, noisy like crap and smallest is 660 haha.. i am impressed with my viva, a vios bang into my viva at the traffic light (how noob the driver can be) my bumper just few scratches and the left side latch came off alittle... think the repair cost for respraying and fixing back the latch was 100 bucks, lucky vios noob!!! but his car the bonnet tsk tsk tsk... have to knock it out and respray... his car was more badly damaged than mine

Basically it is at tebrau highway. After you exit the custom, pass the shell station and take the lower road not the viaduct. Turn right at the junction. Further up after Pelangi Plaza on your right you will see Crystal Crown hotel on your left. Drive straight till you reach a junction next to a Caltex petrol station. Turn left and then turn right on a small road just before the Caltex Station. Mega Champion is about 500m after the station.

bigger not always good, carrot cake in the making thats why they get so big... its the smaller ones that are alittle more honest... certain stuff go jusco and daiso like airfreshener, carmats etc

Size wise ofcourse the outlet in Permas Jaya is bigger and more items.

Understand that it is now not under the Brothers chain stores anymore and they have changed the name also.

Earlier I was a regular Customer at Mega but after exploring the other outlets, now prefer to travel a bit inside like Permas Jaya or Taman University.

But all depends on what items you are looking at.

Some may bring down the cost but increase in labour.... And wise versa...

Finally it maybe the same going out from your pocket.

 

At the same time, if you are doing major works, better go around to compare.

 

One e.g. is the Sound proofing.

There are lot of varieties of Sound Proof materials.

A single sheet price ranging from RM25 to RM300 (maybe more) depending on the quality and brand.

So explore before you decide.

Hi bros

 

I just checked Proton Exora bodykit (full set, front, side, rear) about rm1.2k with installation and spray paint can whatsapp you the pic and name card... They have the original exora bodykit which is slightly cheaper than 1.2k

 

Basic sound proofing material means the cheapest for 4 doors is RM200+ less than 300, and the front arc is about rm120 for one pair i believe.

 

solar film, basic one os RM280 for whole car...

 

so just give you the indicative price... cheers
