Any recommendations for a reliable plumber and electrician with good workmanship?

 

Preferably not the tok carrot head type.

 

Why must the 2 toilets, the kitchen sink and a couple of electrical switches start to conk out at

almost the same time? Beats me!!

Bro, turn off the mains first. You should have a small sub-switch on your pipes which controls the water flow to your kitchen tap.

 

I am also experiencing a leaky kitchen tap. For past few weeks already. I still haven't found the time to buy a new tap to change.

I believe Electrician/Plumber with good workmanship means can be problem-free for ages. So charges are cheap-cheap when divided over the problem-free years

The problem is the choke. Choke likely caused by clogged drainage. Hence nothing to do with carpentry work.

 

Try a simple DiY... unscrew/open bottle-trap under the basin to check for blockage.

Go hardware shop buy flexible steel tube less than $5. Insert in hole to poke poke it. Pour some boiling water if needed.

 

Obviously, someone throw small rubbish or pour oil products into it.

Searching for a reliable contractor, interviewing them and enquire about their references all are a bit tedious in contractor selection process. Unless we complete the above we could not figure out the good workmanship. Many online portals like HireContractor.com, angies list , and home contractor search would provide list of prescreened contractors . You could find out desired contractors using these portals.

I was urgently looking for an electrician that day.

Somehow after tripping my circuit breaker, couldn't reset it back.

Ronnie solved the problem for me. Only charged me transport cost of $50/60 (can't remember)

 

He can be a bit long winded. And he seems more of a handyman rather than a proper electrician. But seems like an honest fella so thumbs up

My kitchen basin drain pipe was choked some weeks ago. That section which is below the floor level.

Had to call a plumber at 7.30pm. Of course he fleeced the hell out of me. Never even said thank you when I paid him. Was evasive when I asked some questions.

 

His main tool was a rubber piece attached to a flex pole which he just pumped the pipes to clear the choke.

Learn a bit of DIY, buy some tools stand by in your store (like plunger and flexible wire for clearing sewerage choke etc) as handy man will be more and more expensive like many other services in Singapore.

 

You won't have to wait nor .

SCDF said that it dispatched a fire engine, one Red Rhino, an ambulance as well as three supporting vehicles. It added that upon arrival at the victim’s unit, he was found lying on the toilet floor. It is not known how he ended up in the situation.

 

 

A four-hour operation was conducted to free the man and this includes drilling the toilet floor in his unit and the unit below as well as cutting the drainage pipe.
