Dear all,

Did anyone of you witnessed an accident involving 2 cars and 1 motorcycle at KPE this morning? If yes, appreciate if you can provide some info.

Two cars?

When I came past only around 5 minutes after only noticed one car.

Was at about 8:00 am

I saw one uncle lyning on the road, the bike was badly beaten up. Three men were at the accident site, two young men in uniform - one white shirt sleeves the other Army (i tink n0 4? not sure of designation - green camo dress)

Car was grey older maybe swift or similiar - small hot hatch, against cetnre divider...

Didn't see accident happen, when came past in opposite direction 15 minutes later ambulance had been and gone, Rex was there as well as abt three bikes...

So no more details...

Unless wanna ask me direct will do my best.

I do not have that info on hand right now.

The reason for my asking.

The motorcyclist passed away, and he is my relative.

My very sincerest condolences. It is very very sad to see such things.

I am very very sorry that I cannot offer a better explanation to you. From what I saw of the accident site I cannot even hazard a guess as to what happened or what was the cause.

My relative left behind a widow and a son (aged 5).

Neutral Newbie

Sorry to hear that....RIP to your Relative....

Anyway...i guess this will be inevitable if motorcyclist our highway rides between cars in lanes (like there is an imaginary lane for them..bad..bad bad....

Its just sad and risky for this motorist to do this thing...its like they're just waiting for an accident to happen...specially when there are slow traffic...you can see all rider zoom between cars... just a slight hit...that's it...

To riders....be safe....in any kind of accident, you all are at the loosing end..

Agree that many times we see motorbikes between lanes, which is very dangerous, small misjudgement by them or car and tragedy is the result.

I attended an event with Teo Ser Luk (sp?) our esteemed minister, I can't remember the Teo Chew, but it meant that in a car the cage surrounds the meat, on a bike, the meat covers the cage... I also spoke with the director of BBDC - he noted that the two rules he considers for a bike - dun ride it when you have to hurry (cus that's when you take risks) and when on the roads treat it like a car (dun lane split, overtake on shoulder etc etc)

But please do take care not to second guess what happened in this particular instance unless and until more information comes to hand.

sorry to hear that.

i passed by the accident area this morning. when i saw the motorcylist lying motionless on the road, my heart sank. the ambulance & TP were not there yet but the expressway wardens had arrived.

there was another car (civic if i remembered correctly) that stopped quite a distance away by the side. not sure if he/she is a potential witness.

hope the truth will be out soon. my condolences to the family.

Yeah now that many ppl have figured out where the speed cams are, the limit is no longer 70. Can see so many ppl speeding everyday.
