Ask a noob question...my car have some leaking but not so serious yet can i just do top up the engine oil myself

Of course!  Just don't over fill.  Check the dip stick when engine has cooled down and top up a bit at a time and recheck dip stick.

Can but you may overfill as the oil would still be in all parts of the engine slowing flowing down.  The dip stick would not be accurate.

May be when my ride reaches 9 yr old or so , i may change to this palm oil and try it out, and see how it performs.   [;)]

And when She reached 9 years old totlally forgotten to try out palm oil.

So the next car, a chevy at 9 + yrs old, i decided to give her 1 litre out of 4 per oil change.

Also won't know what would happen if ratio is too much, so a 25%

No problem for the thousands of km traveled. Reporting it as next month she is going to the car grave with her engine in good shape.

May be the next one i may give 33% and see how it goes.

Vegetable oil feels very thin. Maybe is a xW5? And they are not much cheaper than turtle oil.

BTW, any promo (4L @ $19.90) for turtle oil going on in giant?

Palm oil close to SAE 30

No winter here so need not border whether 0W , 5W or 10W

Using this oil for a season too.

And it's for experiment not the price.

Time for some feedback after switching to Schnell in Sep 2013 the first time; from GM 5W-30 which goes abt 10k km before change.

The second  change was at 6k km of use, since wasn't sure its quality. Didn't have any noticeable change in the drive.

It is now the 3rd change, after 8k + km, felt the engine a rough. Immediately after the change, can feel the smoothness of the engine.

I reckon that this EO is good for up to probably  only 7k km for my ride, Meriva

Not much of a difference in the fuel consumption in the 14k km as compared to using GM Oil, with rev between 2500 to 3000 rpm in daily drives.

Just change this engine oil today. Feels like Shell Ultra Helix at a fraction of the price..bought from carrefour at $29.89 4L pack. Surprisingly the oil feels smooth & the engine is quiet too!

Anyone using this oil too?

I used the oil before, but I looked at the recommendation, and for my engine was recommended oil 0w-30 (Audi A3, 1997, 1600 cc, 74kW, petrol)

Few weeks ago when I visited, it was 25.00 dollars but I did not buy.

Today, I went back, intending to buy, but , the price had increased to 49.00 dollars. So, instead, I bought Shell Helix.
