If this author by the nick Ghost find the extradition funny dan he should read about the joker by the name of Michael Fay. Cos the extradition will be considered chicken feet as compared to Mr Michael Fay who got 6 strokes of the rottan for vandalism in SGP. Not even the US govt can save his ass....so to speak.

A SWISS IT consultant who broke into a depot and spray-painted graffiti on a train was released from prison yesterday morning.

Oliver Fricker, 32, had been sentenced to seven months' jail and three strokes of the cane for trespassing and vandalising an SMRT train in mid-May. The unprecedented act was seen as a serious breach and sparked a review of the security of the public transport network.

Fricker spent less than five months in jail after he received a one-third remission for good behaviour.

He left the Changi Prison Complex in a bus shortly after 8am. It is believed he was taken to the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) building in Lavender for repatriation procedures, although it was not known last night if he had been deported to Switzerland.

It was also unclear whether he would be banned from re-entry in the future.

An ICA spokesman said it cannot comment on individual cases for reasons of confidentiality. Fricker declined to be interviewed when a request was conveyed through the Swiss embassy.

Graffiti found on train at Bishan depot; police, SMRT and LTA investigating latest incident

SINGAPORE - Graffiti on the exterior of a train was discovered at Bishan depot early Saturday morning, before it was put into service, the Land Transport Authority has revealed. The incident was reported to the police and the LTA said it takes a serious view of the incident.

This is believed to the fourth instance of vandalism which SMRT has encountered in four years. The first case was in May 2010, when two vandals cut through the fence of SMRT's Changi depot and spray-painted graffiti on one side of a train. One of them, Swiss national Oliver Fricker, was given seven months' jail and three strokes of the cane, while his accomplice, Briton Lloyd Dane Alexander, remains at large.

In August 2011, a hole was cut in the fence at the Bishan depot, and the words "Jet Setter's" were spray-painted on one of the trains.

Thought they have invested in security at the depot?

If they have, then where is the security lapse? Guards sleeping? Or insider job?

If they have not invested, it is damned long time liao, and they are just asking for trouble...

Anyway, they really need to beef up lah... Seems like any Tom, Dick and Harry can vandalise nowadays...

With this fourth incident, they need to increase security measures and with it, needs to increase fare for added security measurea to all depots .... [sly]

See its rhythm so well and just need a one 'page project paper' to ask for fare increase. [:p]

OMG 4th time!!!

Our trains could have been blown up 4 times!!! If each blowup blow-up happened on each line, our four main train lines would have been paralised.... national holidays since people will be very late for work anyway!? [sweatdrop] [sweatdrop]
