come on guys....

U won't choose this (cheaper, more powerful, more equipment) over a thai-made camry?

it does look better. but you know this is sg. and majority chinese. there's the brand stigma.

I feel that Kia is still new & not very mature on building sedans of this segment. Still got some catching up to do.

I know Kia do S-class type of domestic luxurious sedans which can only be seen in Korea. They have really quirky exterior & interior. Let's just say if you can afford a luxurious car you just won't even look at them.

that's why they aren't imported.

the designs are strictly for the korean market.

Talk is easy leh. Give you choose Jap car or Korean car and it is free. Yes, free. Which would you take ?

[rolleyes]

Since its free,

i'll choose the most expensive.

is it a very logical answer?

Must be reliable too. Even if parking, fines, maintenance, road tax, insurance, petrol, etc are covered, no point driving a problematic car. I want to be on the road, not in the workshop.

Toyota reliable, are you suggesting? Perhaps those of bygone years - I had a 10 yr old '92 corona before - but looking at recent news on recalls, I wouldn't count on that anymore. To pay premium for outdated technology and lacklustre design simply because of brand name is just not right, imho.

K5 vs Camry (Thai or Jap), I'll take the Kia ^_^

Let's just say I wouldn't want to drive a car that is reported in the news of faulty brake pressure fluids, accelerators, etc. I want to drive the car with confidence.

I will choose the Jap.. Sell the Jap and buy a Korean, then put the remaining money in something else... Japanese worths more money is a truth but they may not worth as much as the Korean in terms of the overall packaging... [:)]

Nowadays, the Korean can give equal or more than what the Japanese provide at lower cost without sacrificing the quality...

for fairer comparison, test drive them back to back.

do note that most K5s have not run in their engine yet.

Would you prefer K5's design to that of Mazda 6 and JDM accord?

Yes. I like big, mascular, edgy, boxy, looking cars like GTR, R34, k5 etc. That's why I chose odyssey as my family car

Jdm accord is too outdated looking. Plus it looks small even when compared to a civic.

Here are some images of the latest kia k5... :D

I am very impressed with Kia designs like Sportage and this K5.

I really hope Honda and Toyota can follow suit.

Of course i will... That's the nature of human... More money means more than anything(except for those super rich)... But then that is not going to happen in reality...

However when buying a car, the Korean has already showed their superiority over the Japanese in many ways... So in this case more money go out from my pocket for less things is totally insensible [laugh]
