Its the COE that is expensive at $58910. IF COE is at $10-$20k level like those days before LTA intervention this car would be selling for like $67-$77k only. BUT if ever COE drop to a more realistic level, they should bring in the 2.4L model. I hope they read this. In the past, certain Hyundai models sold quite well and this despite the fact that they were really behind the Japanese in every aspect because they were cheaper. Now, Korean cars are still cheaper but they look better than Japanese cars, are loaded with more features and are more advanced in many key aspects. I am sure they will do well just like what they are doing worldwide by moving from 5th to 4th in global ranking. Hyundai/ Kia has already proven themselves by moving to 4th in world ranking. Same.i45's design is a little over-complicated for me especially the front. I hope K5 2.4 will be launched soon at a decent price. For 7k more you get the 2.4L, paddle shifters, climate control, cruise control . The K5 2.0 unlike the i45 2.0 is even better equipped than the i45 2.4, give and take a few items. The K5 has rain sensing wipers, auto headlamps, factory bluetooth, 18in wheels which i45 lacks. The i45 has reverse camera and HID which K5 lacks. The K5 2.0 is already so well equipped that there isn't much other things we really need except that 2.4L engine so hopefully the difference in pricing for the K5 2.4 is less than the additional 7K Komoco is asking for the i45 2.4. Kudos to CnC. Even a Forte 1.6 SX is better equipped than the i45 2.0. Komoco is too complacent. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Customers will only get the "full-spec" model on the 2.4L version. The 2.0L version is pretty baren in the specs. I've also noticed from the rear of the i45, it really doesn't seem that much wider than the Avante. Did anybody notice this too? Perhaps the design of the tail-lights, make the rear of the car look narrow. But I guess for interior design, the Hyundai i45 and upcoming Avante beats the K5 and Forte IMO. It's like the first 40% of the pedal travel you don't feel any much respond but when you step further suddenly the engine roars. Maybe it needs a SB? I tested de k5 today and I am impressed. Thue features that come wf the car are awesome. The ride is nice, stable and there is steering feel, which is good as these cars tend to be a bit light. Good throttle response, and a real good B&B car...with lots of bells n whistles..... Designwise, you gotta see it in the flesh to appreciate the lines and the build of the car. In my opiniion, a winner no doubt Just passing by CnC and decided to view the K5 but didnt test drive cos didn't have time. Yes, RadX is absolutely right!. It looks stunning. It looks much, much better than the internet photos. Its long, wide, low and super sleek. In term of looks, no D-segment cars come close. If you think (and that's what I use to think too) the Mazda 6's and Euro Accord's sporty looks can match the K5's look, you will realise they ar no match for the K5's looks after seeing the real thing. The K5's roofline has the sleekness of the likes of the Jag XF, Merc CLS, Passat CC. Inspected and confirmed that the rear lights are LED too. Many have criticised the dashboard design from the pictures (I am one of them). Again, the real thing looks and feel much better. In terms of performance and handling I believe it is above average. In terms of features and looks it blows the competition away. At a price that is lowest in its class there is nothing more one can ask for except for the COE to drop.............
