on the contrary... I think 118K for Korean car is too expensive a car for most people's mindsets...

As expected, this Optima K5 attracted quite a no of jap owners driving their camrys and cefiros/teanas to have a look at this vehicle. Usual comments were given. Nothing new. Still having their usual doubts about KIA vehicles.

look at the kia soul....launch so long already yet no many on the road. reason is they sell it so expensive. its really hard to accept paying so much for a korean car. the k5 will be the same.

I will pick the k5 over the civic, in a heartbeat.

 

Anyway, looking at the interior pictures, I think it looks good, but not fanastic, but beats most, if not all B&B Japanese cars. The Hyundai still seems more upclass a bit.

 

Imagine, this is how a typical Kia looks like just 4-5 years ago. Anyway, my dad drives one, the interior & exterior left a lot to be desired, but even then, the manual gear shifter is sweet, & power quite good for a 1.6. But my oh, my, how they improve over such a short period.

 

 

 

Anyway, its expensive due to the COE climate. It maybe worthwhile to look at used BMW & Merc. You can get some really nice ones at the price range.

I believe K5 will sell better than Soul.

When Soul first launch, it get me a feel of funky car (don't like it).

When Forte first launch, it get me a feel of decent car with a good price (owned it).

When Forte Koup first launch, it let me feel that the forte is bring to a higher notch in design and style (wish to own this).

When K5 unveiled, I feel that this car is impressive, stylish, luxury enough with the best price among its class (definately more than a BB car compare to my forte).

price wise now... all car are expensive to me now...

Forte is good but Avante I feel is better both in looks and interior based on pictures.

If I buy a new B&B car, I think its more likely Kimchi than sushi.

 

Name me a new B&B Japanese car that is better than the recent Kimchi offerings. I can't think of one, but I'll be happy to be proven wrong.
