(with those plastic touches) but might improve like the equus. High end models such as the Genesis and Equus already have leather wrapped dashboard and doors. Plastic is a thing of the past. Guess will have to wait until actual launch to know or when actual specs come out. The latest Jetta is 4628mm, while the latest Euro Passat is 4769mm, so the Jetta is still 141mm shorter than Passat... However although the new Jetta has larger body, it is still smaller inside than the Avante according to the US epa measurement... The Jetta is 2 cubic feet less roomier than the latest Avante... I still don't see the potential buyer of the Passat comparing the Passat to the Fluence, they are in different segment of the market. The latest 2011 passat continues the tradition, yawn. The Passat CC however, looks much bigger and better. Accord also another one, very big in terms of measurements but doesn't look that big. Comon, Passat is suppose to be marketed as a large family sedan on par with camry and teana, but looking at its wheelbase of miserly 2715mm is just doesn't fit into the same category of large saloon anymore. Been inside the 2011 Passat and the headroom and legroom behind is more cramp than the outgoing model. However, what I'm saying is, if one drives the Passat, and if the driver comes across the Fluence or even the smaller brother, the Jetta, he or she would be malued since the Passat, being a larger car on paper, isn't what it seems in real life. Imagine what it's like to have your Passat coincidentally parked next to a Fluence or new Jetta. You'd then wonder to yourself why didn't you get the Fluence or Jetta. You'd wonder why you'd have wasted your money on the Passat. That's the reason why the Passat isn't a huge seller or a seller for that matter. Hands on heart, I've seen the Fluence next to an Audi A4. And I can say, that the Fluence looks as big as the A4. According to VW the Passat is exactly the same as the previous model in terms of interior space and architecture... They only change the material used and make it even more quiet inside so the space should be the same... KIA has targetted the K5 in the segment D and it is the same segment as the Passat. Fluence is in the C segment of the market. So this is a discussion on K5 and Passat is in the same segment. C class, A-4, E90 are in the same segment as well. A6, E class onwards are in the E segment of the market and Honda City, KIA Forte, Subaru Impeza etc are in the C segment.
