Thank you very much Angcheek I have many friends who would like to learn more about Buddhism but unfortunately many teachings are in Chinese. Sometimes there are English translated books but many times the translation are not accurate and makes reading frustrating. I myself is beginning to more and more following the Buddha ways. It mays a lot of sense and can explain alot of what is happening around the world today and our afterlife This is NOT to say other religions are wrong BUT only saying for myself that Buddhism seems even to modern times for people like me. I believe Buddhism is the only religion that did not ever called for war against any ideology. Correct me if I am wrong. In any case, ALL religion teaches good. It is my humble opinion, even if you disagree with me, even if you dont believe in any religion, in the end we all weill be judge differently and all of us regardless of which religion you belong to have equal rights to enter the gates of heaven. You are most welcome . This Chant originally was in Mongolian . Most of the Chants are in Sanskrit or Tibetan , some rare one in Pali . The teaching itself is one of the most peaceful one because it believes in karma and reincarnation . So violent brings nothing except more violent. Like you said, all religions taught good but some human twisted it and took advantage of it. Anyway , such human will have their karma . Just like NEwton's universal rules , every action has a equal and opposite reaction . Or the energy in the universe is constant , no less , no more. One cannot run away from his action. It is one of the religions that will accept other religions (if they are good of course) . Some how it can explains the existence of anything in its teaching and the 6 realms .... Of course after thousands of years , the teaching somehow evolved differently in different countries. but basic rules never change. I guess you were freethinker before knowing Buddhism ? While books do give some guidance , a good teacher does helps to speed up learning e.g. Meditation , it is not easy to maintain meditation. But at later stage , one still depend on his own will and understanding. Heaven is not our goal actually . Enlightenment is our final goal .
