Saw the C4GP at roadshow yesterday. I like how the 2nd row seat bench fold up and slide forward to give easier access to the 3rd row. The 3rd row has air con vents and the seats are decent.

Since there are Citroen owners here, comments pls...

 

I was by my car when a Cit drove in and parked on the opposite side 2 lots away.

The engine was running a while and it was very loud - like a vacuum cleaner.

It was a SLR plate car.

another occasion is when the low speed sensor is konk out, the fan will run at high speed and can be very loud.

yes. The 3rd row vents are blowers, not aircon I think. I've compared kia caren and vw touran and find c4gp rear head room is still much better.

Hey, just wanna drop by and say hi to owners here for I’ve just put a deposit for a C4 SpaceTourer. Seems like there are very few ownership of this ride as there is zero result for “SpaceTourer” in this forum... LoL

 

Anyway, this is my first conti car/MPV due to family size, and have been driving jap’s sedan cars all along. I’m the regular guy who have heard “horror” stories about conti car ownership but this time round I decided to bite the bullet with the low COE and arm with an exit strategy (maybe COE skyrocket again) after 3 yrs.

 

Btw, we have shortlisted VW Touran, Renault Grand Scenic, Kia Carens, Mitsubishi Outlander, and of course the new Toyota Sienta/Prius+, all of which in the similar budget/price range. Even visited PI showroom for Honda Freed. I guess covered pretty much all the new and current models of compact MPV.... (Missed Ford/Peugeot, not sure if they have any equivalent).

 

Anyway, the final decision maker is my wife who simply love the space in C4 SpaceTourer; with independent middle seat in 2nd row AND a removable front seat storage box so she can change to front seat from the center when middle row outer seats are filled with 2 child seats. Of all the above rides, C4 seems to have most spacious leg room for 3rd row when with middle row fully back up.

 

For me, I can’t say it’s the best of the bunch for responsiveness, handling and looks... but I thought let my wife’s priorities take precedence for this round. Life’s short, I gotta experience owning a conti car as my own I tot!

 

I read somewhere there is a WhatsApp group for C4 owners? If that’s still active, I would love to be included. Cheers.

The C4 Picasso Diesel was 1st in my list 1.5 years ago but I didn't end up buying mainly due to diesel and worry on maintenance. 

 

It has always draws my attention on the road as I still like the design of the car. Good to hear owners are enjoying this car and hope they continue to bring in more models.

Would like to check with owners of the BlueHDI C4P (5 Seater).

 

How are your cars doing so far after a few years? I'm currently on a look out for this particular model due to the FC as I live in the NE and work in Tuas.

Whats the most common thing to have broken or needed multiple replacement? 

Hows the maintenance like so far?

Any issues with the DPF or EGR Valve?

Anyone done a DPF/EGR delete with a tune?

Where can one get a set of 3D LED tail lights? I really like these but not many options online.

 

FYI I'm not new to conti cars, in fact thats all I have ever owned, so I know what can be expected.
