Stephen73 Clutched March 30, 2011 Share March 30, 2011 Cannot access the Genting website now, so cannot advise you about the online booking. Request for room with view [mountain or theme park view]. Usually have to pay a little bit more. Try this hotline : +03-2718-1118 or SG tel #6823-9889 [usually Genting MY will pick up the call]. Thanks dude, u seem very familiar with genting. It's my first trip there after a long time. I am kind of looking forward to it. Hope my family have a good time. ↡ Advertisement
Peng Neutral Newbie March 30, 2011 Share March 30, 2011 first world hotel, but go for WorldClub room. It is like a suite, but slightly more expensive. Exclusive lane for checkin and breakfast ! (shorter queues)
MTRAC Neutral Newbie March 30, 2011 Share March 30, 2011 Stephen, There are two theme parks at Genting Highland. The indoor theme park and the out door theme park. Indoor theme park is within the First world hotel complex while the outdoor theme park is situated in the middle of all the hotels in Genting. The main door to the outdoor theme park is just outside the Theme Park Hotel. This is the oldest hotel in Genting. There is a family room type where they have 2 queen size bed in it. This hotel is old and small therefore checking is much easier. In First World Hotel, there are two types of world club room. With 3 adults and 2 kids, you hv to choose the quad sharing type. Basically, there are two queen size bed. As what Peng said, there will be exclusive lane/area for checking in and breakfast respectively. If you are going during peak season, looking for a 'good and safe' parking lot could be a challenge. Though most of the common parking lots are free, for me, I would prefer to pay rm12 to park at the big open air car park between Highland and Genting hotel. You need to pay the attendance at Genting hotel first before they open the barricade for you. This car park is around 300meters from First world or Them Park therefore it is advisable to unload you stuff first before parking.

Other hotels are mainly for gamblers. If you are unable to book the rooms, u can call their hotline but got to pay offline rate which is slightly expensive. Tireburner 3rd Gear March 31, 2011 Share March 31, 2011 How long does it take to check in First World Hotel during weekdays (the whole weekday cleared of Public Holiday)? Last November Deepavali fell on a Friday, so thinking that if I checked in on Sunday, 2 days after the PH and Sat, the queue would have been gone. But I was wrong. There were hundreds of queue numbers ahead and I took more than 2 hrs just to get into the room.

Monday to Thursday should be approx 30~60mins wait.. good luck to you.. the number of check-in counters opened is not helping with the queue speed.. FWH is just too popular.. Kangadrool Supersonic March 31, 2011 Share March 31, 2011 Check in is sloooooow. But, for checking out, make sure you are fast. Otherwise, someone may open your room door while you're undressing, peeing, making luv, etc or your valuables may be gone if you happen not to be in the room. BTW, those going there, please take note. the one closer to the carpark one is the nicer one. not the one facing the car park. another thing, if want to eat restuarant food, go eat Ah Yee. yun nan food standard drop a lot ever since they hire FT. their price is similar. ↡ Advertisement
