Any kind soul(s) willing to share the treatment (Oriental/Western) for such illness?

I heard out from a western doctor that it can be contained but not cured. Some relatives commented that Chinese Medicine can cure this illness?

go to AMK Ave 10 i think blk 574, the TCM specialised in 'catch snake', my mum got it 2yrs ago, go a few times and cured, faster than western doctor.

u cant cure it cos the virus remains dormant in ur body...those virus that r awaken will give u the symptoms loh.

as from my understanding from wikipedia.

This is what makes me group it like cancer, your immunity against it?

Every blister is a nerve ending. That is why it is so painful.

In chicken pox, the blister is also at the nerve endings but it is itchy.

Chicken pox-shingles is caused by the varicella-zoster virus. It belongs to the Herpes family of viruses which only infect humans and damn good at it.

So good that you cannot kill it. And it won't kill you either. If the host is alive and helping it infect other people so that it can propagate, why kill it?

Good luck trying to get rid of it. I think the new generation might never hear of this disease any more thanks to the vaccinations.

Many thanks. His procedures more logical than others. His accupunture instant relief from the stabbing pain and itch. First visit at $80/-. Western doctor first visit at $262/-

Many thanks. I hope I already found this TCM Physician who knows his trade. I had visited other TCM Physician (Professor who perhaps is too relaxed about treating patients: high calibre in China/Taiwan/Malaysia/Singapore)

I wonder if it is truth that western medicine quite limited on such illness, or westerners seldom encounter such illness?

You can get shingles vaccine from GP and think polyclinic should also have, there are 2 types of shingles vaccine, Zostavax and Shingrix. Shingrix is the latest version which need to take 2 doses, Whereas Zostavax is older version which only need to take 1 dose. Shingrix per dose is around $400. Overall not cheap to take shingles vaccine. But it is recommended to take it if you are 50 year old and above.
