MAZDA 6

Nope.....the sound is heard whenever the car goes over a hump. I am aware of similar issues in the Mazda 3 but assumed that it has been resolved by the factory since this is not a new model.

I have the same issue. Quite frequent initially. It happens when one is braking at lower speeds, like approaching a hump and going down slope in car park bends.

They fixed it at 5k servicing and the frequency is much lesser. Brought it up again at 10k servicing and they fixed it again. Been about a week so far, seems fine so far.

Other than that, it's a wonderful car with full features at a great price. Looks good and handles great. Acceleration from 90 to 120 is really fast when u step on it to overtake hoggers. Even when they rev up to prevent you from overtaking. That's without changing to sports mode.

So I dunno why there are people who complain no power. 184 horses is a lot for our roads.

Did the TEK service folks mention what was causing the knocking sounds?

Has been 4 weeks since I gotten the 2.0 Executive (2017 edition).....and the ride has been enjoyable so far! Coming from a Korean car, the comfort level and NVH suppression is quite impressive. The only gripe being there is knocking sounds from the front right shock after only 2 weeks and long lead time for making servicing appointment.

I drove 3 mazdas...astina, 6 & 7 over 20 years...you have to know 2 person in lk/ubi. Kelly Peng & Azmi.

Next time if you are there, get to know them by initiating a discussion on your ride's issue.

Usually I call them direct and always get immediate slot for either servicing or trouble shoot.

I do hear the occasional creaking sounds as well when slowing down for turns. Able to share what was done/replaced during your servicing?

Both times they told me is the brakes. But I found it unlikely because the brakes functioned very well.

They did some adjustments and not replacements. A mechanical that look like a experienced old man attended to me the first time and took me on the drive. We manage to replicate the issue and he said no problem. The second time I couldn't wait and was told on collection that the fixed the brakes.

The sound is a kronk Kronk sound on the front right. It was softer after the first servicing and less often. I suspect it is the same arm brush problem as you guys face.

Yes...the same helpful guy.

He move between the 2 sites & I truly felt mazda's owner should know him if preferred to use AD's services.
