judging by the skid marks, he probably tried to drift when exiting the bend but either he didn't know how or was too late to counter-steer... we never know.

Did anyone notice that there seems to have skid marks for two cars from one of the picture posted ?

Just glad that there was no one walking nearby that could have been murdered. The speed limited for Dover Road is 60 km/h, the driver obviously must have been speeding. Finally, (to the driver) - if you want to get killed, please go ahead and do not bring others with you as they are not ready to go yet.

those skid marks are from the same car which has been skidding sideways before hitting the curb.

No.. It's a four wheel skid, not 2 cars..

Stock AWD is configured for more understeer rather than oversteer. So unless he fitted a LSD and tweaked the AWD settings, there's no way he can do a drift on the stock setup.

subaru is damn solid car, AWD is damn solid. i'm new to the club so i know the difference.

problem is that the AWD is so powerful that drivers think they are driving god. Complacency...

so yes, subaru cars do cause accident that way.

Yeah, I somewhat agree. It's so grippy and poised when pushed hard that you're unaware when you've gone over the limit. Once it breaks traction, the forces involved, coupled with the surprise factor, make it well nigh impossible to accomplish recovery. [shakehead]

sat morning... either just wake up blur blur or just came back from late friday nite fever...

anyway.. sat morning .. speeding... it sure is the driver fault... just lucky he miss the bus stop..

ppl say s--t happen.. but alot of time it is due to driver error.. he/she is the pax behind the wheel..

some incident seem impossible to happen ... but it sure did..

once was in Expo.. just after the carpark enter.. first carpark.. a car mount the island (is that what u call).. and have 3/4 wheel off the ground... look extremely funny.. but it did happen.. btw.. that car was not those powerful version.. some fiat uno that type of car...and the driver not those ah-beng type but nerdy type..

haiz.... my insurance sure go up like crazy liao........

judging from the rims as well as the brake, it should be an A-line. hope the insurance company will separate A-line with 6MT...............

another incident for the public to generalize subie driver again........ hmmmm............

not true la bro, shld you stay stock, the dunlop tire are very progressive, unless it has been changed..... though the turn turtled subie does seems to have changed tires.....

stock sti (6mt) comes with 3 differentials in the car, a-line 2..... no matter how to tweaked the awd setting, it still tends to understeer at limit during in turning, but power out bend will still able to shake you butt......

it is a straight road (about 20m) before the tire tread lines bend, thus cant be traveled at a high speed. the slimmer tire lines seems to be the front wheel to me, mostly over inflated, with the thicker tire lines skid further the front wheel, which also seems to be under inflated. subie recommended tire pressure always high in front low at the back...... it seems to me the driver are to optimistic on, probably, some overtaking maneuver, power out into another lane but overdoing it, thus losing the backend and skid all the way...... also suspect that brake was applied throughout the traction break duration, thus not able to stop..... one shld not apply brake during traction breaking......

i could be wrong, thats my view though.......

amazing, how he do it ?

singapore is one of the smallest country in the world , but had one of most dangerous drivers in the world.

hehehehe.....oni know how to step on the accelerator pedal and dunno how to brake. Oni know how to drive fast, but duuno how to control. damned stupid burgers. luckily nobody at the bus-stop got hurt/killed.

you mean stock tyre got problems?

negative, the dunlop tyre was specially developed for GR-series, other than super noisy, it a great tyre overall. unless other type of tyre were used.....

wow,

this time round nobody get kills

either driver or pedestrian

most of the post here are tame

but once got fatality

all the post here will condemn him chialat2

if normal accident i do believe s--t happen

but this accident car flew off from the road

and subaru defenders give the excuse the car its the car tyre fault

that road is where driver/rider like to test sprint their vehicles as it is straight roa

in that case why not sue both the tyre manufactures and subaru for having unsafe rubber on the road
