Itsec 2nd Gear July 30, 2011 Share July 30, 2011 (edited) i have a few VP "bankers" earning less than $6k driving conti car but an account manager earning more than 10k drives a 6 yrs old mitsubishi i chanced to know a CFO at the aged of 33 working in MNC earning less than 10k (basic)!!! [laugh] She's complaining and probably grab another 1 yr exp before jump ship... That's a MNC!!! What a joke!!! Should be 8-10k experiences must complement with good port folio... working in the same co. over 5yrs doesnt mean anything... maybe the co. had been stagnant for the past 10 yrs.. Yup, this is what I was talking about, moderation in everything you do, hard to find the right balance though....I look at some of my subordinates earning 2.5k a month, married, and have kids leow....as much as i envy their happy family, I wonder do they have to slog their whole life and how are they going to save up for their old age... Tigerwoods Turbocharged July 30, 2011 Share July 30, 2011 (edited) what to do, nowadays people like to use big big titles. bank employee call banker supervisor call manager manager call director etc etc.... there's no value in titles anymore. luckily table wiper is still called table wiper Materials Manager - Storeman that manages/packages goods and use computer General Manager - Janitor who manages general cleaning, maintenance jobs in an office Senior Manager - Some office has this title but the guy doesn't even have any staff under him. - Managing himself ? Account Manager - an sales guy managing the sales accounts he has. Verdict - a Manager in today's terms is someone who manages his own work. Soon you can throw a stone in Orchard road and probably have 1 in 2 chance of hitting a CEO. Yes in the 60s, ot 70s the title of Manager is really powderful with hundreds of people under you.
