My guess is this round may drop abit. Last round of bull run may turn off some ppl as they need time to digest and accept the fact. When ppl start to accept 50K Cat A and 70K Cat B is a norm, they will go back to showroom again.

Cat A will go beyond $70K and could surpass 100K...this is not the limit for info. Premium cars will launch their 1.6 & below model to gain better market shares and the only way the less premium car sellers can do is to bring in higher end models to match against the premium brand....Ultimately those who really need a car can only suck thumb and pay.... this will kill those who can bearly afford a car and price them out of the mkt....which will ultimately ease congestion on the road but lead to overloading of public transport... SBS can then put more buses on a less congested road....but 1 bus equivalent to 4 car or more size.... :D will still pack the road like sardines if they dun control overcrowding.... time to consider "Flying" cars (like the movie back to the future [knife] )...then the sky is your limit....

60K for Cat A? I wonder how many AD will survive this battle if this high COE will to last for another 3 yrs. Month after month of bleeding....some AD hardly sell a few cars per mth. I think China make will exit this market first, follow by some PIs and smaller Jap AD.

bro it is damn possible man...

singaporeans are getting richer...

how on earth u think we can even hit 56k ?

more and more people need cars... and lesser people want to do without one...

and the backlog of cars is incredibly crazy....

yes china cars will be out of market...

but those 1.6L and below and economical cars will thrive !

Bro, you will be surprise that Jap may price themselves out of the market with rising yen and negotiation on the car tax matter within Jap remained unresolved.... I heard ppl no longer go for new Jap cars....interestingly it is conti cars that are making the mark...

Any higher than $48k, may cause by the taxis' companies. As they are meant for profit generating for taxi they buy. I do believe private buyers are sensible enough not to beat them for the meantime. Always remember, no one can tell you where the COE price is heading. Only the result tells the fact. Lastly, don't result to panic buy. Once the backlog is done, things will normalize again. When prices are too high, the taxi companies will hold their purchase also. No companies will keep on betting higher and higher, if they realize cannot make profit out of it. Not forgetting, bad times ppl will switch to public transport instead for the period.

Yes. No sensible buyers will pay more than $50k, if they going for a Cat A. Most may instead move to CAT B, if this grp have extra cash in hand.

Bro how u define sensible huh? If ppl Sensible will they spend millions on a hse n knowing they cant take it away....ppl spend to enjoy...the sensible ones are those that are on a tight budget no choice...but there is a lot of cash rich Singaporeans.... $60k is peanut...lol... anyway...COE will be beyond your comprehension as you watch it rising...those who hv 1-2 years to go...good luck...2nd hand car market or unless u cash rich n can afford to down 50%....
