FT who at least work and contribute not so bad... compared to those RICH FTs who speculate on property here and drive prices up and up... Good bye!! [thumbsup]

As for those who join the bandwagon and speculate on properties... locals included... good luck to you!

Where got condos prices close to HDB at same location ? You are comparing Bishan maisonettes to shoe boxes in CBD is it ? [:p]

Comparing the ridiculously priced EM's at McNair/Towner/Boon Keng to the Pte Apartments at St Michaels/St Georges

FT who come here on short term (1 year in the video?) should not be considering buying property in the first place, he should be renting.

With the new measure, he should be thankful that his rental will drop.

Citizens of 5 countries to pay same stamp duty as Sporeans

9 Dec 2011

Straits Times

Citizens of five countries that have free trade deals with Singapore, including the United States and Switzerland, will be treated as Singaporeans for the purposes of the new stamp duty measures.

When they buy a private home, Americans, Swiss and nationals from Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland will be treated the same as Singapore citizens, the taxman said in a guide on Wednesday.

This will enable them to avoid the new 10 per cent additional buyer

quote from the guy in the video.. "we are very very disappointed with this ruling, because even though we are foreigner, we have been working in SG for one year. We also contribute for this country. so if feel that first, as a foreigner in this country, the government don't welcome us"

LOL!

Actually he interprets it wrongly..This is a good move...if his intention is really for staying long term in spore..he shld nt feel like that...so he is upset bcos he is a bloody speculator....for this i wont sympathise such FTs.....Hey u FT, u think u contribute to this economy....so ur freaking dollar is bigger than a sporean contribution....if u nt happy u can go back....remember...Singaporean first...u 2nd class squatters....

Oh yes, if u really want to look for an alternative, pls go to Indonesia, heard houses there r cheaper n much bigger....:D
