sometimes, parents have to ask themselves if their kids deserve it.

i also kena yesterday at an arcade of a small kid who STOLE from my bag. i caught the kid and pushed her on to the floor plus get my stuff back.

a few mins later her PRC mother come and kpkb with me.

after the chaos, she just left and never kept up to he threat of calling police.

so now u answer me.

was i right to get my things back from that kid? (mind u, her grip was tight)

or let her steal and not push her?

4 year old btw.(father say)

the way she put it seems that the poor boy is alone aint it? I am pretty sure if an adult is holding his hands he wont suffered such a fall.. even if you think i am pre-judging i would still think that the parents are totally at fault...

there are parents who:

- leave the kid walking behind on while crossing a heavy traffic road.

- let the kid climb on stair railing.

- let them take the escalator and not holding them.

- let them run in a crowded food court.

and all of them think that someone will look after the kid!

she stole while i was still having credit in the game.

during the "online matchmaking" part.

so no time to wait for parents.

get things first, talk later.

I am not there and thus cannot comment on your incident, but apparently you are more concerned about losing your arcade game than humanely treating a 4 yrs old kid. dont tell me you no strength to hold her wrist securely and wait for her parents to arrive meh? must use such drastic measure as to push her to the ground? what if she falls and hurt her face/head or something you feel happier? just a kid give and take la, others push your kid down, how you would feel right?

parents dont teach their kids to not STEAL, so i teach.

if her parents managed to teach her properly, u think she would have stolen?

and holding wrists for how long? online matching takes 30 secs at most.

then again, what can u expect from PRC...

and my game has online rankings.

failing a song can drop your rankings.

not that i wanna be anal about my credit. but yeah.

2 bucks/game is nth.

money can get back.

rankings are another matter.

and others push my kid down?

i will say or bi goot..

u dont disturb ppl, nobody will do anything to u.

This clearly shows that this nation has become a dangerous and heartless place.

Such news do not happen in Singapore in the past, at least not so often or common.

But now everyday, there seems to be more social ills events happening in our neighborhood.

Is there a social divide? The rich and poor divide? The green eye divide?

Or worst if it's really a FT vs Local divide.

I really hope they catch this bus-tard that pushed the boy down and proved that it's just an accident. And not some sick minded person who is fed up with SMRT or locals.

Jialat.....both cases happen to b 4 yrs old kids.

Common to see kids playing around/on/near an escalator and hv told them on those occassions to b careful and reminded them escalators are not playgrounds or toys. Really wonder why moron parent(s) or adults not there to supervise or hold onto their hand/carry them in arms....always MUST wait until a missing body part being torn away then cry father cry mother and want to sue here sue there.

For goodness sake, if your own kid you dun bother to watch vigilantly, u expect strangers to automatically look out for him/her? These adults got peas for brains and marbles for eyes.

The other 4 yrs old kid who stole mayb "trained" or taught by parents to do so or better still, big monkeys do so small monkey follow. Shd hv called e police and let them hv a record of her parents' particulars so that shd they "happen" to b always involved in other similar cases, the coincidence will raise doubts and investigations can follow. But, I agree that one shd refrain from using force to push a kid at that tender age to the ground....it mayb more than just lost credits in a rating game or a few bucks or 30 secs.....if that girl's parent(s) cry "molest", jump inside yellow river mayb hard to come clean.....even if cleaned later, e stress and hassle of having gone thru such experience won't b very pleasant.

Of cos on hindsight, it is always easier for others to say what is best in such a siuation....still, exercise wisdom cos kids are involved....at least am glad u got back yr belongings. Thnx for sharing.

Safe ride

Cheers

she wanted to call police and i say no problem.

but after the scuffle(quarrelling and shouting) and when i told her what her kid did, she and her husband just MIA.

police also never came 45 mins later.

does that show she knows her kid is in the wrong?

Yes, there is a divide...very big somemore....its e gap between yr ears which is rather big. Escalator incident also want to link to the rich and poor? Last time seldom hear does nt mean never have. Also, escalators were not all that common, perhaps in that era your brain computed.......

Green eye, FT, locals.....haizzzz.....its a 4 years old kid and NOBODY confirmed the nationality, colour of "pusher's" eyes or wait, dun tell me u were there and yr eyes green too? Better take out tat coloured contact lens of yrs b4 kena identified. Along e way, remove yr prejudices as well.

Safe ride becos u like to advise ppl to make false police reports or tell lies whenever they kena accidents.....u must like roti prata a lot....

The big divide.....what a joke.

You pushed a four year old to the ground over online ranking? Get help. Farking moron! Perhaps it was you or your brothe who pushed the poor kid on escalator. Jerkwad.

Parent fault lah.

Never hold on to 4y old in crowded place

Never see who 'pushed' child.

Never rescue child from ecalator trap in time.

Never bother to give enough info in post to help anything

Poor parenting on all counts. Half hearted all the way. [laugh]

So if a kid took your things u gonna let him/her run? I pushed coz the grip was too damn tight. Holding like as though it's her own toy bought by someone special.

Btw, online ranking is one thing. Some of my friends have even scolded me ccb just coz I go disturb their game. If u dont game, u won't know how it feels like to miss out on the rankings.

Or if u are a casual gamer, u won't play for ranks or points. But I do.

And as I said earlier. She wanted to call the police. When I told her what happened, they all Mia. So she knows her child did wrong by stealing.
