however,

 

to drag in other innocent parties including children and wives, this is really distasteful

after the so called attacks are between her and the attacker

 

to call the attackers, attackers it is funny

if you doll yourself and act like a whore

(in singapore, if you dress like that and walk along Orchard Tower or Geylang, do you think anybody would think you are a girl next door)

you invite people to comment on your blog

then when you dont like it

you turn around and bite them back not just by comments but by getting really personal with getting people's children and wives in

 

this is the most immature, irresponsible response from a blogger

 

in short, though, i dont agree to the apparent attackers comments, but some of their comments are legitimate

for a respectable blogger, this is totally unacceptable in my books

 

In all honesty - I dont read her blog (i did read 2 or 3 entries after i saw the article but thats about it).... just to point out something - the guys commenting also commented on her friends. they also included innocent parties close to the blogger - so where's the fairness in her case then? I'm not saying her "eye for an eye" method is right, but since those commenting chose to include her friends (they could be very close, like sisters for all i know, but thats just an assumption), then arent these men burdening their families with their own selfish comments?

 

if im a family man, i wont be talking about geylang, or chickens or what not.

 

at least her actions will make people think twice before becoming keyboard warriors... as with everything in SG, the entire situation will blow over and be forgotten in 2-3 weeks, or till the next piece of sensational news comes up, i suppose.

I think she is well within her rights to hit back at her critics in the same under-handed way, but at least she should pixelate or blank out the photos of the wife and kids. After all it was the man that posted those comments, so why involve the entire family?

 

Nevertheless it does show that there are many bo-liao 30+, 40+ year old family men roaming and posting in various internet forums. And not forgetting they have facebook pages as well. Don't they have anything better to do? Like help the wife raise the kids?? Or other hobbies? It's a sad reflection of our life in singapore. By 30s or 40s... already feeling repressed, tied down and finished. Can only release stress on internet...!

 

I disagree, her friends were included in one of the photos posted by TR, if those associated with her are fair game for those guys' comments, then the reverse must also be true. No use crying unfair when someone does the same time to you what you did to them.

 

I guess the most important point to remember is the photos posted in FB and other sites become public domain, if you don't want people to view or comment or use it, don't post it up on the internet.

So if you are celebrity and this is just hate mail you are getting and all logical minded people know got no basis, why fight back and dignify the foul mouthed?

i think those guys deserved it but not too nice to drag their family in.

my take on this is, "Don't do unto others what you dont't want others do unto you" . those guys hiding behind the monitor doesnt mean that they can escape responsible for whatever they post abt others on the net.

i guess constructive comments/opinions on the net are welcome but rude name callings/insults etc are unnecessary lah. well they have stepped on others so cannot expect others to show mercy unto them.

let me share with you my knowledge.

 

income stream for blogging sites usually come from advertisement income. advertisers would typically be

 

1) google, yahoo search engines (whointer alia charges merchants and pays bloggers for number of times surfers clicks on the ads)

2) merchants

 

the more number of hits your site generates, the more google spider captures your site and next time anyone that searches for information via google search engine will see a list of sites listed in order of their number of hits.
