You refering to all korea cars or isloated case? [:/]

His should be isolated case la. Many Hyundai can drive till 10 years with not much major problems already. Have a few friends with the old 1.3l hyundai accent still running properly and most already past 100k km.

You once bitten, twice not shy? Why buy French again when the first experience was already like crap?

Hi All,

Take a look on my blog - http://drivingpeugeot.blogspot.sg/. I don't know whether this car can be considered as a "Lemon". But, I have experienced the worst servicing ever. Enjoy reading.

So my old 405 is consider better than yours. My Peugeot stalled at traffic lights a few times and sometimes cannot start IU unit error.

The last straw fuel tank leaked had to scrap and quickly bought a one year old Japanese car. I scrapped the car in 2002.

I also have a lemon Hyundai first car, so dun worry I also had two lemons. But yours is very serious compare to mine. 2 of 6 cars and this two cars I got them 2nd hand, but yours is brand new must be heart broken. And lesson learnt I will not buy both these brands anymore

Hi all,

I just took over a stream from Guan Motor Trading on last wednesday.

Yesterday, i went for a spin in my new car in Malaysia. I did an ebrake qt 130km/h at the highway when a bus cut into my lane. To my horror, the whole steering and car vibrated like as if there a scale 10 earthquake. Then the car suddenly skidded to the left. My whole family was shocked and dumb folded.

I return back immediately and visited a workshop. The mechanic told me that my disc rotor had warped and need a replacement. I called up the salesman that serve me from Guan Motor to seek for advice. He commented that this is normal wear and tear and there is nothing he can do. Bring it to their appointed workshop and let their mechanic take a lookl.

Today, i rushed down to the workshop. Waited for the mechanic incharge and the salesman told me that the company is not going to bear the repair cost. Because during the test drive, i never highlight to them. I him that during the test drive, we are only driving around the congested Ubi area and speed hardly exceed 60km/h. How would i know that such "incident" become so serious after you exceed 100km/h.

Safety is my utter concern because this car mainly is to ferry my kid up and down school. My wife also driving this vehicle. I want them to feel safe and confident when are are driving or sitting in it.

He insisted that it is a wear and tear problem and he would not want to do anything about it.

I got fed up with his after sales attitude.

What can i do ?

please help me thanks

warp rotor is normal wear and tear.. nothing wrong

anyway normal braking should feel it if it is warped very badly

at low speed not really very significant

but anything more then 80, its very noticeable.

during test drive, hardly you can exceed 60km/h, therefore not very noticeable. but from what i know, if you are in this industry, once you test drive it, you already know that such thing had happened. Isn't it suppose that the dealer should at least ratify it before selling the vehicle ?

Lucky i did not meet with any accident.

Such irresponsible sales people

even if its a 2nd hand old car, the agent or dealer at least have to do proper due diligence to maintenance/"make good" the vehicle to a certain degree for next customer

Normally when 1 purchased a used car, it will be good

to send it for a full servicing asap. Change out all the wear and tear items

like tyres, wiper, battery etc....
