Patience Clutched January 18, 2013 Share January 18, 2013 (edited) I have not looked at your link but... Technically yes. Any dial that cracks is defective. But due to its uniqueness and the fact that it mostly doesnt affect time keeping, they are lovingly called spiderweb dials. So its a question of whether buyer likes or not. I personally wouldnt pay more for it Icic.... Glorifying a flaw.... I wouldn't buy too.... But we can always ask for a bigger discount due to this right? Then after that go get a replacement? Just like how some people like creamy patina on the markers So it all depends

Throttle2 Supersonic January 19, 2013 Share January 19, 2013 i also not sure, can ask throttle I dont follow Omegas at all although i do have a Speedymoonwatch since like 1995. A solid 18k red gold seamaster planet ocean chrono on strap , i guess would be about $20k? My personal pick would be a solid 18k yellow gold Rolex Daytona Paul Newman on crocstrap if i want to spend >$20k

Like how white shirts turn yellow? Yes, kinda like that. It's called patina. My Sub from 1998 has yellowish creamy patina on markers and hands too. My 30+ yr Seiko divers also have the same on the markers and hands. Only Tritium coated markers and hands will turn yellow, newer Rolexes using Luminova wont turn yellow in less than a 100yrs. Rolex started replacing Tritium with Luminova in 1998 / 1999, as i recall reading. Rolex Dials using Tritrium will be marked with "T" eg. "T Swiss Made T". Or "T<25".
