Windwaver Turbocharged January 6, 2013 Share January 6, 2013 yeah.. but when i was there last mth, inbetween the NSW, there are some 3G deadzones Consider quite good already since the country is so many freaking times larger than Singapore. Dice 3rd Gear January 6, 2013 Share January 6, 2013 (edited) Imho, dl/ul speed of 18xxx/12xxxkbps should be 4G LTE. What do you think? Lte runs on 1800 and 2600mhz in Singapore and starhub is only one left that has not deploy. They will soon this yr and once they do they will need to refarm their 1800 spectrum for lte deployment iirc. Edited January 6, 2013 by Dice

Mcscot 5th Gear April 4, 2013 Share April 4, 2013 Dear All ... I apologise if I am dragging this up again! I just signed for Singtel Fibre and it came with a free 21Mbps mobile broadband with 1 GB limit. I have since inserted the SIM card into my Ipad2 and I am only getting 4-5Mbps on their 3G service and no where near their reported 21Mbps! Is this normal? Should I be happy with the data download speed Singtel is providing or do I need to kick my A$$?
Mockngbrd Supersonic April 4, 2013 Share April 4, 2013 Because they upgraded their 3G basestations for 4G. So less for 3Gers This is what i get at home on my 4G
Mcscot 5th Gear April 4, 2013 Share April 4, 2013 What makes me angry is that they come up with excuses like ... "Thank you for your reply. We extend our sincere apologies for the delay in response. Allow us to share that the Broadband On Mobile service is a sharing bandwidth service whereby all subscribers of this service will be sharing a designated bandwidth within an area. Surfing or data access speeds are dependent on a combination of factors, including 3G/3.5G device used, software application, internet traffic and destination server at time of access. If there are more concurrent subscribers using the service in the same area, the access speed will be impacted. Upgrading of our 3G network began last year at various locations and is still ongoing. Kindly refer to the link for more details; http://info.singtel.com/personal/phones-pl...aign=3g_network On top of that, we are also rolling out the 4G network to ease the strain on the 3G network. We expect to have 95% of 4G coverage completed by early 2013 as well. You can refer to the link for more information on this; http://info.singtel.com/4G#Network_Coverage-tab We hope these reflect our commitment in enhancing our services and ultimately fulfilling your expectations as a paying consumer Should you require further clarification, kindly revert back to us or call our 1688 hotline / +6562351688 from overseas (IDD charges payable) and we will be glad to assist you with your query." Why advertise at 21Mbps if they cannot provide it?! Just advertise 10Mbps and I will be happy with my current 4-5Mbps! Singtel is claiming that different regions have different speeds but it seems the same all over Singapore!

Billcoke 2nd Gear April 4, 2013 Share April 4, 2013 I find that its damn slow. Search online and find that there are complains for all 3 providers, not singtel alone. Did a test using speedtest. Wow. Its only 30+kbps. Can complain to IDA? Suggest you post your complain at Singtel FB.
