Mazda priced it as their premium car. As such, it will not be cheap.

CX3 and CX5 are lower in their range.

Ya seems this is their pricing strategy for cx9 but i wonder how many cars they can sell at this price n shld the Prinicpal put pressure on them for numbers, price could well come down so i would wait abit but it could be an infinite wait

At this price point for a Mazda, i think volume is very low. However they still need a premium model to be showcased in Singapore

Majority of the profits should be from the Mazda 3.

So CX-9 is considered their flagship model?  [laugh]

Test drove this car recently, its very big interior and exterior.  Despite the size and weight, the acceleration felt fast enough.  Overall, I like the drive and the interior felt comfortable.

Minor issues which I thought can be better

  1. No hold function when the car comes to complete stop.
  2. Parking brake is electronic but there is no auto release or engage function
  3. Meter cluster looks dated although the HUD saves the day
  4. Lack of air con in the third row

Price is very close to a PI GLC250...

The 7 seats are good occasionally and so here comes the dilemma....

  1. No hold function when the car comes to complete stop. R: Auto Hill Hold.
  2. Parking brake is electronic but there is no auto release or engage function R:Auto release on D and acceleration, not auto engage.
  3. Meter cluster looks dated although the HUD saves the day
  4. Lack of air con in the third row R: An incomprehensible omission by Mazda.

Ya, I really like the car but the price is a bit on the high side. A look on the sgcarmart website shows that agent is making close to 40% profit on each CX-9 sold. A bit high for a non-luxury brand, I think. Would wait for another half a year or so to see if price will come down.

Been driving for about 2 plus months now. Easy car to drive, good acceleration. Super quiet cabin and luxury feel. Parking may be a problem due to the size though.

Only consider this car if you need to activate 7 seats often. 3rd row is comfortable unlike 5+2 models like CRV or X-Trail.

Test drove the CX-9 recently..

Really smooth n ample power for this mammoth SUV.. total length: 5065 mm , width : 1969 mm...~ S class size..

nice n imposing exterior design...

must be careful especially going to narrow car parks like LIANG court , Orchard Plaza n those old cbd carparks..

Most importantly, quoted Best best price of high side of 17xK.. so is it good buy or good bye?

Really nice practically built interior except the plastics looks a bit cui ..

SE told me that the price will go up after this shipment is sold out..

Bal left abt 9 units..

no reason for price to escalate. pretty much dependant on the COE. could be a sales tactic.

$170k+ for CX9 is a good buy

only if you need the 3rd row seat

if once in a blue moon need 3rd row seat ...

i will seriously reconsider

Good car if the extra space needed

Agree, good power and acceleration

Felt luxurious inside

Earlier in the year, roadshow was around 190k+

around 175k is a good deal for the size, specs and drive

unless coe goes into wild swing, guest price fluctuations will be minor

Supersonic

Anyone know if CX 8 is coming to SG?

Thanks

Doubt they will bring in.

It will cannibalise the CX9 sales.

Cx9 sales already very bad. Cx8 will not affect it

If CX9 sales is bad, then why bring in the CX8 in the first place?

If Cx-9 is bad , discontinue this model n bring in the Cx-8 then..

No pt flogging a “limp” horse...

Anyway, Cx-8 is more suitable for Sgp..
