I believe many bros over here are using the shell vouchers which are due to expire by Mar. Any updates or lobang on any petrol kiosk that are closing down due to renovation? Time for some new vouchers hehe

Just visited Shell

95 = 2.11 before discounts..

Guys, check out your car manuals... Go for the lowest allowed Ron.

Mine can take 92. Supercharged engine some more.

Used to pump 95 until found that after reading the manual out of boredom.

No butt felt performance degradation.

I agree. Pump the lowest ron that the car can take.

I tried 2 tanks of 95 this year. Too bad I can feel the car is sluggish. So no choice gotta go back to 98.

95 can save me about $80 per mth.

i started tracking only in mid 2015. Mostly pump Shell since 2016, because i got vouchers. Will go back to SPC soon next month.

Sadly you started tracking too late (after the tax increase) and you also changed grades half way. This graph is the best I could do...

Does anyone know how to measure or calculate price stickiness when prices go up/down?

Assumptions:

1. Forex- MAS Monthly Average

2. Using MOPS Singapore FOB 95 and 97 (no Ron 98)

3. 7% GST and taxes included in the wholesale price

4. Retail price: Used Ron 95 till end Jan 16 and Ron 98 from Feb 16

True, but I can't do 92, and besides, it's not so easy to find and the cost delta isn't as much as the jump from 95-98.

My car needs 95, so I am sticking to that, with an occasional treat of V Power :)
