can coe actually go lower? yes, provided buyers do not rush in now ( kancheong ) and buyers all opt for the package with lowest rebate level.

 

for example.

p1: rebate 35K

p2: rebate 50K

p3: rebate 65K

p4: gteed. rebate 70k

 

if all who are buying now opt for 70K pkg, the AD has no choice but to put a higher than 70K bid to get the coe.

 

if all opt for the 35K pkg, then AD can bid lower.

 

as i said, this only works if there is no spike in demand to buy new cars.

..... buyers are at a loosing end ( whether coe up or down ), example:

 

a car package is $170K, at $70K rebate, 6 bid, gteed.

 

if coe drop to $48K, the AD maybe tell the buyer " u not successful this rnd " or they refund $22K. but buyer still paid $148K, which AD still laugh to the bank.

 

if coe shoot back to 92K, AD can say " u never get " or at $170K, they already made a profit as the bufer is already built into the seling price.

Thats what bidding is all about. Demand high...price goes up. Demand low....price drops.

 

Also depends if gharmen reduce qty of coe. Ty hold e wild card. The joker. Ty can manipulate e price by playing around with e qty of coe avaliable.

 

Thats why now pple say e prices n bidding system is NOT totally fair. Gharmen can manipulate e price by just adjusting e qty of coe ty put out.

My place can see mp come ty reserve parking lot. After awhile can see their Jaguar n BMW park there.

 

Ty earn so much u tell me ty dun own car. Please lah.

 

Most if not all wil stay landed property after becoming mp n minister. And not simple house hor. Wil b big bungalow.

 

If they drive Toyota Yaris or Nissan March or any mini runabouts, they may not have the confidence to communicate with residents.

 

But, not all MPs like that one lah. Last time, there's one MP driving a March and he lamented how those people trying to shoo him/his car away when he tried to park at the reserve lots.
