Kenopt2 1st Gear April 7, 2013 Share April 7, 2013 Keeping bad "lose $ news" under the carpet helps govt reputation and prevent financial panic. Govt is not afraid to lose money. Why? Imagine COE$ collected every 2-3 weeks. 1,000 cars at $60,000 per COE yields $60 millions and $120 millions a month. In a year, it is $1.4 billion. If there are 1 million workers and each contributed $1,000 [employee+employer], it is $1 billion a month of new cash. In a year it is $12 billions. I always wonder how the govt paid 2.5% for OA and 4% for SA and Medisave in this global low interest environment? Maybe it is a ponzi i.e. take new money to pay the promised interest so as to maintain popularity...

Actually , just like Madoff, they all start out with honest work. Temasek ,GIC was doing profitable brick and mortar business work and they got respectable results. But slowly they start to venture into investment in wall street , property in china and around the world. Gambling is like this you win small and will finally loss all. These are investment not business . They are never safe. Bank of England as broke by soros., there is alway one shark bigger then the other. The biggest one will finally be attack by temp coalition pack of sharks. And in singapore we got ho chin and tony, our dream(ing) team.
