Folks,

I am not a wine person. In fact, I don't even drink beer.

I have this bottle of D.O.M benedictine wine which has been lying in my house for quite some time and decide to open to try.

The taste is a bit too strong for me and oops... I remember I have a mild hypertension issue as well as a minor GERD/ acid reflux problem.

And I suddenly recall that alcohol might not be too good for my health.

Do you folks drink this and has there been any significant health benefits or concerns?

Thanks for you inputs!

The " benefits" are printed on the packaging ...i guess if you are not comfortable taking it, either dispose of it or just drink moderately till finished. The product has been around for ages, never heard people actually died from taking herbal wine.

Actually last time I ask ppl wouldn't the alcohol destroy whatever benefits is in that bottle?

you should be more concerned about methanol concentration in herbal wines or home brewed wines for that matter. Methanol is toxic to the human body.

Can use for cooking if direct drinking from the bottle is too strong for you.

Can also pass to any MCF heavy drinkers to finish for you

:D

Have not touched wine for a long, long time.

Took a small cup of D.O.M at night and felt leg muscle cramp while sleeping (which I never had before).

Has anyone experienced this, or is it just pure coincidental?
