Ahseng 5th Gear June 18, 2017 Share June 18, 2017 the high fever subsided after about 5 days.... i was lying in hospital bed the whole time. After that can go work but even walking is difficult for me cos too weak. Lying down 5 days with high fever almost zero usage of legs for the whole period of time...after that needs abit getting used to. Can you still go to work after high fever? ↡ Advertisement

Ahseng 5th Gear June 18, 2017 Share June 18, 2017 yea, until going to toilet by myself is also sibei difficult. i think i pressed bell a few times during the peak of the fever just for the nurse to help me to the toilet which is about only 2 to 3meters away at most. 5 days of high fever (taking panadol just makes it down to "normal" fever e.g. 38+ ..else it's always at 39+...) High fever until cannot go down to bed? Anyway, seems like dengue is a scary thing! 5 days can caused such an agony!

BanCoe Hypersonic June 19, 2017 Share June 19, 2017 (edited) Maybe your dengue is mild only? Seems like different people kenna dengue got like different resistant levels 1; i know of some people its really terrible.... along the same levels as chikungunya Initially I thought was fever and i DIY myself but i felt very strange this time so finally wife KPKB I went to see doctor; the temp kept at a constant 1-1.5 degrees above normal like 37.5-38 degrees ; also every year I take immunizatioin too at poly Mine also mild so just report to polyclinic every morning for like 1 week for blood test (the pinoy nurse also very friendly 1) & after that showed some corpuscles level was OK and they said can go back and no need to report no more ; But everytime go polyclinic means kenna waste like 1 hour to 11/2 hours (as I have to wait for blood results and see doctor) Best part is after I kenna the dengue they come and put banner in my neighborhood the next day, with Orange sticker ; ENV seems very efficient 1 Edited June 19, 2017 by BanCoe

My red blood cell count still high enough not to be admitted to hospital. GP don't even ask me to see him everyday.
BanCoe Hypersonic June 19, 2017 Share June 19, 2017 (edited) Even you only have one symptom of fever around 37.5-38 degrees, your blood test shown that you have dengue?I don't think so , as my fever went on initially for about 3-4 days prior to doc visit ; the feeling was strange compared to normal fever - I think there is no specific yardstick to diagnose dengue ( other than the symtoms) they check from the blood count ... can't remember if its WBC or RBC , it had gone down drastically and slowly started to inch up and having good diet was very important like fresh fruits and took lots of yukky papaya leaf soup .... like I said each one has its own resistance levels and the very young and elderly are at most risk All in all it took around 12-13 days from first feeling of sickness till last day of seeing doctor ( which i went to clinic everyday for blood tests) Edited June 19, 2017 by BanCoe
