Hotamp 3rd Gear August 11, 2013 Share August 11, 2013 Batt operated. So many kuku drivers out there, maybe better to stay in the car and call AAS. sad but true,...singapore roads are really congested and some drivers really have no respect for traffic conditions, if really have no safe spot to change a flat tire, i think it is safer to pay abit more and get help from AA. This type of incident where cars rammed into stationery vehicles have happened a few times in the past, no amount of flasing lights and triangles will stop a kuku driver when he is either drunk or careless. ↡ Advertisement
Donut Supercharged August 11, 2013 Share August 11, 2013 My car dun have one, but I bought it second hand, maybe first owner took it with him. Anyway I dun think the reflective triangle is of much use when break down in the day, so I bought a blinker from Autobac, something similar to those use by construction workers but operated by plugging into car cigarette lighter socket. the thing with the need to use 12v cig socket is if your car breakdown coz of no batt, then the blinker is useless

Opel17 6th Gear August 11, 2013 Share August 11, 2013 Wah looks like u swiped it from a Geitai performance. I tried but the Getai blinker need 2 men to carry. Furthermore in the view of the big audience, better give up the idea.
Opel17 6th Gear August 11, 2013 Share August 11, 2013 How about this blinking light which we bought from Daiso. Small size, smaller than an adult fist. Very bright LEDs blinking light with alternating red, blue and green. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4td6_2ahwI4...be_gdata_player From afar, the blue light of this blinker is stand out especially at night and would attract attention from other road users. Not true. If you put the triangle some distance behind and some kuku bang it, got chance he will slow down and not plough into the car or people. On that note, put something prominent like red pail also can.

Pisces69 6th Gear August 11, 2013 Share August 11, 2013 (edited) Small never mind, brightness should be the key point. But nonetheless, having these are still better than having none. Ya I basically hv always carried the necessary safety equip although I hardly ever used it. Always good to b prepared in case its needed. I even used to carry a small fire extinguisher b4 but dumped it when it expired cos those small type cant do much in case of a real fire. I hv the big one at home in my kitchen but dun wan to put it in the car cos its a bit big, heavy n bulky n scared in case of an accident, it might b thrown forward n seriously injure someone. Pisces69 6th Gear August 11, 2013 Share August 11, 2013 Batt operated. So many kuku drivers out there, maybe better to stay in the car and call AAS. Ya actually on those lonely roads n eways, it might b safer to just stay in the car n call AAS. In SG u can easily call but at some ulu place in Msia, I doubt the mechanic n tow truck wil bother to look fr u till morning.
Pisces69 6th Gear August 11, 2013 Share August 11, 2013 the thing with the need to use 12v cig socket is if your car breakdown coz of no batt, then the blinker is useless Ya. There is another type of triangle with blinking leds that use a couple of penlight batteries. Maybe more practical.
