Feedback On New MCF

I might b doing some reporting on Junkers soon. Lets see if ty still dare to Junk irresponsibly.

 

Maybe if there was a Poll, we cud hv a stronger case?

 

How much more feedback does admin need - before can see the light?

If Junk means: idiotic, rubbish, f****off, d****head, ...etc.

Then those who Junk without saying why & anonymously are like "hit&run drivers"

while those who Praise anonymously are like " the wealthy kind man who throws banknotes in the streets"

 

Just my thoughts.... & getting rid of the "Junk" name, better to be said separately. 1 thing at a time.

But still u wil notice many here prefer the person who Junks another to reveal his Nick n state his reason for the Junking. Otherwise some pple might just keep Junking someone cos ty hv a personal grudge against them.

But, I do think the Junk button is for SELF POLICING purpose. i.e. if a post is "bodily waste" in whatever sense, MCF wants the members to "shoot" ... as admin is unable to read everything themselves.

 

Happy year end holidays.... I shall not comment on this until next year!!!!

For a car forum, this point system, praise and junk, appears to be overly complicated.

 

Maybe the old system of points by posts, with an additional button of say, voting to increase reputation of a certain poster is enough.

That way, people can look at a "reputation star" and decide if his posts are more trustworthy and assume the rest are not.

Even a newbie can have a good reputation, if his posts are sensible and contributes to the forum, instead of merely posting rubbish.

 

Junk button has become a vendetta to use against someone you don't like or share his opinions.

Not very productive imho.

For number 2, I suggest changing to 'agree' and 'disagree'.

Replace Praise with a Thumbs Up sign

Replace Junk with a Bowing sign.

Ppl who select this have to give comments why and to help them, the u/m phrases could be included -

Admin, May I know where is the Log-Out Button for Forum page.

 

I had used a "public" pc to log into MCF the other day.

Was quite surperised that today, when I logged in again on the same "public" pc, my forum page opened up automatically. I didn't have to use my user name or PW.

 

Then, I started looking up and down for the Log-out button .... cannot find.
