Now Independent have taken up the Rômulo to Liverpool story. Daily Express say we have tabled a £7M bid, but Spartak want close to £10M. Here we go again. Pool will negotiate for days can't agree fee then Chelsea come in and snap him up to replace Essien. However, one ingrate did tweet that there ae more good news for Man U fans. My guess is Rooney extending contract. He mentioned on BT Sports that Mata is not the only player arriving. No concrete news yet but some outlets reporting of a bid of £22.5m for Luke Shaw. Losing Salah in that manner is quite frustrating but I will hold my guns till the end of window. All Pool fans will agree with me that Salah should not be a priority signing. He is good to have but he won't solve our immediate problem. Lucas is out and Allen struggling with a groin strain. We all know who will be our DM is no proper one is signed by 1 Feb. Scary thought. I know the committee has been given a budget to work on. If they share our same views that Salah is not the priority and if matching Chelsea bid will take away the budget set aside for the DM for example, do we agree that the committee should walk? If BR dun add to the squad (looking more likely by the day), it is hard to see how they can make the 4th place. Spurs, Everton and now man u looks increasingly more capable of pushing pool off 4th plc. Sad but pool increasingly looks like arsenal... very calculative in transfers... how many teams can dun overspend but continue to compete. One thing confirmed is that club level keeping it very tight on transfers now, when we enter the last lap. Even the trusted Echo journos are not getting any scoop. Not sure how much is Pool affected by the FFP. The latest earning table showing Pool dropping out of top 10 in the top 5 European leagues. Income will determine the amount we can spend on transfer under FFP. That could be the reason behind the commercial tie ups recently. Still got one more to be announced today.
