We really has lots to disagree on. Raamires never started on the wings for Chelsea. Always the central mid.

For the 4-2-3-1 system Chelsea is playing, the wide forwards don't need pace to flourish. Jose don't fancy Mata because of his defensive quality.

Yes, last point I agree. Jose knows best on how to make his team works and sadly for Mata, he doesn't fit.

I never said Ramires started on the wings, but in games where Chelsea were chasing a goal, Ramires would be pushed up in the RW position because his pace and general nuisance quality would be enough to scare the opposition.

Jose never brought Mata on in the last 10 minutes of games where we were chasing it, in fact, in the three EPL games this season where Mata started, Chelsea lost....food for thought...

Hmm, tactical changes and him pushed up to the right is possible. What I saying is his natural position, the starting berth Ramires is taking when he takes the field. This shows how the team is set up basically and of course the manager is free to make tactical switches along the way.

As said, Jose don't like Mata because of defensive attributes. Would you sub in a player who will leave you more vulnerable to a counter when you chase a game?

Mata will be ideal for a team who plays possession football. He doesn't have the pace but he make it up with his creativity in the final third. With the right players around him, he will score and create goals for fun.

Jose's Chelsea is not playing his style of football unfortunately.

Sakho? Provided when he is fit...

Oops, we forgotten Mignolet lol

In fact, Pool summer signing, only these 2 are meant to be first XI. The rest are squad players. Sadly, one of them don't even deserved to be in the squad.

Expect to see a front 5 of:

-----Rooney--------RVP------

Valencia----Mata----Januzaj

Frankly, as a non Man U fan, I would love to see this line up. :D Edited by Osprey23

Everyone's in it for the money, otherwise Gerrard would be playing for £15k a week rather than the £150k he's getting now.

I can't/won't argue about playing time, no Chelsea fan at the start of the season expected Mata to be out, and similarly, none of us believed Willian would get as much time as he is getting now.

But Chelsea, if they do sign Salah, will now have 5 players competing for three positions, Oscar, Willian, Hazard, Schurle, Salah for the attacking 3 in the 4-2-3-1 formation.

And hey, if it doesn't work out, Chelsea can sell Salah to Liverpool in the summer for £25mln.

Lol of course not asking him to play for peanuts, just saying comparatively more pay/less play time vs less pay/more play time for him to choose.

£25m? Try Man U. :D

Every window also got anticipation I guess.

Can get target or not really depends on lots of factors.

After the spending spree from KD, FSG wants a structured valuation for targets. We set a cap on the valuation. If can't meet agreement, no deal. Salah I believe £10m is cap liao, with add ons going to £12m based on his performance.

Good and bad I guess. Bottom line, no more over paying under FSG but risk losing targets when being outbid.

Guess some form of goverance is gd. However, the team and scouts have spent so much time to assess the targets and right now, it seems there is no target to pursue this window lol

i certaintly hope to be proven wrong and Pool swoop in before end of window to add at least 2 players...

the squad is so thin now.. one or 2 more injuries and Pool really wont be able to compete for 4th spot liao..

to put it simply....dalglish has spoilt the market for pool's transfer policy.

Don't say liao. Heart pain. Even so after I know he overseas targets Comolli gave him but he ignored and went for British talents instead.

They are working hard but just can't agree fees - Salah and M'Vila.

One more position is LB, but not sure who is the target now.

Thinking back, I don't think Jose and BR are really good pal. Let's take a look at what Chelsea had done:

1) Buy LFC target Atsu & then loan him out

2) Send us Moses

3) Sell Mata & strengthen our rivals

4) Move for Salah

This article gives a good account on Salah's situation.

Today will have a closure to this deal I believe.

well. to be honest. i would rather have 1 mata that 3 salahs.

maybe pool should look to attracting a few big names to kickstart the project rather than bank on potential.

imagine what a mata or ozil can do at pool supplying bullets for LS

yeah. just saying. attracting talents would be much easier with champ league qualifications.

but even so, they should save up the money. rather than spread it out and buy few squad players. just buy 1 star to galvanise the whole squad and helps to attracts other stars in future.

good example is ozil at arse

While all eyes are on Mata, Wilfried Zaha to Cardiff is DONE. Announcement at some point today, player passed his medical yesterday.

Also Michael Essien is reportedly talking with AC Milan representatives with a view to securing a move this January.
