Soya Supersonic March 3, 2014 Share March 3, 2014 So comparing between the japs, Estima vs Odyssey vs MZ8? Which do u guys prefer? Estima only have 2 airbags? None of the above. If wanna buy 7-seater, juz go for the Santa Fe or Sorento. Looks nicer and much more goodies for less money. Got turbo diesel somemore. ↡ Advertisement

I've never felt comfortable in a mid-sized SUV honestly though i've never sat in the biggest sized ones.
Galantspeedz Turbocharged March 3, 2014 Share March 3, 2014 does anyone knows if the ody is a stand alone platform or shared platform, i.e some parts can be interchangeable with other hondas? was told ody is a stand alone platform thus repairs are more costly.. true? Sabian Turbocharged March 3, 2014 Share March 3, 2014 So comparing between the japs, Estima vs Odyssey vs MZ8? Which do u guys prefer? Estima only have 2 airbags? 2 air bags for what is supposedly the market leading family vehicle is just odd.
Roh96 6th Gear March 3, 2014 Share March 3, 2014 2 air bags for what is supposedly the market leading family vehicle is just odd. Agree. Buyers of Estima should feel they are short changed, paying so much for so little protection.
Hondasteam 1st Gear March 3, 2014 Share March 3, 2014 Test-drove the new honda odyssey on last Sat. Now comes with power sliding door, can compete with Toyota Estima/Previa. Overall, Ody's height is still shorter with lower floorbed. Nice to drive, of course, it's a new car. 7-seater is much premium with body-kit, allround view camera, fog light, leather seat in contrast to 8-seater, 10k diff. We know MPVs don't do well in crashes since less crumple zones back and front. At least some airbags especially for the middle row should just be standard. Wolfverine Twincharged March 3, 2014 Share March 3, 2014 Agree on the airbag part for Estima. Anyone managed to get PI to bring in Estima with 6 airbags? Not sure what would be the incremental cost?
Hondasteam 1st Gear March 3, 2014 Share March 3, 2014 since you guys talk about estima/previa, not sure whether you'all know there is a local forum for it. www.f1-0.com Singapore Previa & Estima Club

Duckduck Turbocharged April 4, 2014 Share April 4, 2014 went to compare new ody n current estima. new ody boot looks smaller than estima. interior space estima is slightly bigger. ody has more gadgets like paddle shift, electro static buttons, but no power tailgate?!!?!? weird no option. Wolfverine Twincharged April 4, 2014 Share April 4, 2014 In my personal opinion, the paddle shift in Ody is not as appropriate compared to family friendly type of gadgets like power tailgate. Thus, I guess a few of the Conti marques are better in this aspect. went to compare new ody n current estima. new ody boot looks smaller than estima. interior space estima is slightly bigger. ody has more gadgets like paddle shift, electro static buttons, but no power tailgate?!!?!? weird no option. ↡ Advertisement
