LEEST 1st Gear January 26, 2015 Share January 26, 2015 Hi sis, is that syntactic oil that u used? When is your second servicing? At 5k or 10k? Air tyre at 250 is a bumpy ride. I pump 200/220 rear/front for a smoother ride. Yeap. Shell Ultra Helix. Next servicing at 6k. Tried 200/210,it is too dragging for me. 230/220 is better and comfortable. Trying out 250 to see if can hv better FC

Cheefarn 5th Gear January 27, 2015 Share January 27, 2015 The vezel manual is recommending Honda Ultra Leo 0w-20. Anyone know where we can get this engine oil ? Honda Ultra Leo 0w-20 image.jpg Bro there is no need to insist on Honda brand syn oil. Honda OEM the oil from major Japs oil manufacturers anyway. They don't manufacture any engine oil I am a FD1 owner and yes our Honda engines needs and should use 20wt engine oil whenever possible for max efficiency and fuel economy. I get my oil from http://mxtradings.com/ They sell only top quality syn oil from USA and the prices are really affordable. I am using Pennzoil Ultra 5W-20 fully syn for many years already. Shell Helix Ultra simple CMI when compared to these top quality oils

Googoo 4th Gear January 27, 2015 Share January 27, 2015 just to share, i used to read the technical specifications of the engine oil which i buy. basically i look at flash point and viscosity index Of course there are more things to look for (like API SN, brand etc) but generally i just look at this 2.. Flash point - the lowest temperature at which the oil gives off vapors which can ignite. It is dangerous for the oil in a motor to ignite and burn, so a high flash point is desirable), Viscosity - a measure of how much the oil's viscosity changes as temperature changes. A higher viscosity index indicates the viscosity changes less with temperature than a lower viscosity index. reference from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motor_oil. you can Google for the specifications of the engine oil that u r buying.

poundpuppy 1st Gear January 27, 2015 Share January 27, 2015 (edited) The ride at 250 is way too harsh. Even at 230, my mom is complaining its too bumpy at the rear. Agreed. The suspension is very firm and that makes the ride harsher than others. My car came 250 kPA... could feel every bump in the road... Dswm 2nd Gear January 27, 2015 Share January 27, 2015 just a quick update, FC is about 15km/L...60% highway.... About the same as you.....averaging 15km/l with 50% city-driving, 50% highway. By the way, along the same stretch of road from Toa Payoh to Yio Chu Kang, using CTE: - with eco mode, was able to clock up 21km/l - without eco mode, managed 19.5km/l But I think I drive with a heavy right foot (habit).... Even at 230, my mom is complaining its too bumpy at the rear. not sure about tyre pressure, but i test drove it n rear is so bumpy, even being driver i can feel kinda discomfort. torsion beam setup for vezel is quite stiff, unlike toyotas. Soonkuay76 3rd Gear January 27, 2015 Share January 27, 2015 tyre pressure is one thing the tyre itself is another for those who are on 17inch your tire height how high. My toyo t1 sport is 55 i choose the spec because it have more give than say 50 or 45 -meaning thicker width to absorb the road harshness i usually pump up to 240 and fuel consumption still btw 16.8km/l to18.2km/l 85%expressway and 15% city going for my 10k km servicing soon. Time for synthetic oil lor
LEEST 1st Gear January 27, 2015 Share January 27, 2015 (edited) How is ur fc so far sis? Any improvement? $138 is considered an ok price. At least its helix. But doubt at W40 you can see much improvement in ur fc. Probably got to wait until after 10km when engine is fully run in (debatable).Bro, i finished my second tank today.Based on meter, first tank average at 14.7km/l, 2nd tank at 15.4km/l. Based on my own calculation, first tank at 12km/l, 2nd tank 14.3km/l. I drive 546km for second tank, with one bar left and petrol light alerted. Mechanic advised me to pump shell 98 instead of 95 for my new engine. I tried and hope will hv better fc and drive with it😊 My drive still 50%highway 50% city. Average 90km to 100km drive per day😐 Bro, i finished my second tank today. Based on meter, first tank average at 14.7km/l, 2nd tank at 15.4km/l. xanc 1st Gear January 27, 2015 Share January 27, 2015 another punggol resident here! maybe i came from driving a Rush, which is very bumpy, but even at 250 i think it's a very smooth ride.. thinking of going up to 260 next.. my fuel consumption is quite consistent at 15km/l, 50/50 city and expressway, on eco mode.. i just tested the modes and realised that on pickup, and on eco mode, it hardly moves higher than 2k/rpm.. without the eco mode, it roars like a beauty, reaching 100km/h really fast! ↡ Advertisement
