Osprey23 Turbocharged July 23, 2014 Share July 23, 2014 (edited) One thing you really have to admire LvG. He really got balls. First interview for Man U on tour, he said that it is no good for commercial activities to interfere with football preparation. In another word, he would not be bringing the team here to the US if he has a say. Spring Moderator July 23, 2014 Share July 23, 2014 Discussion nia.. hope you not offended hehe No worries bro! We all EPL fans afterall so share the same passion. BTW, things looking good at your end as I firmly believe gunners will be in the running this year And this time it won't be punchek towards the end. Why? Cos they've strengthened wisely IMO n Looks like more purchases to come! Bender or Khedira strong possibility! Roll on 16/8 n may the best n most deserving team win!

He has the track record, experience n capability to be a Mgr of a club like Man U. That's why I feel United will be in the top 4 again next season n at the expense of who? Time will tell! That said, it might be because Seville moved goalposts by upping the price constantly that made Pool TL. Bro O23, much to your dismay; I heard Pool will go for Bertrand if Moreno deal falls through.

Lol no worries. Trusted sources said about us signing him ages ago. So I am mentally prepared. He might not be the best LB out there but hopefully BR is right that he is the best LB to suit his system. Once he signs, he will have my full support. The team having the best fullbacks in the league finished 5th last season. So I guess one particular signing won't really make or break our season. Further, if we are going 4-3-3 next season, the roles of the fullbacks would be less demanding, compared to playing in a 4-4-2 diamond.

Little_prince Supersonic July 24, 2014 Share July 24, 2014 Manchester United have the necessary funds available to manager Louis van Gaal for transfers to allow the club to break the world record transfer fee, according to the club's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward. Woodward insists that United, despite their outstanding debts, have the spending power to compete with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona in the transfer market, The Guardian report. United have been linked with several players this summer but have signed only Arturo Vidal and Luke Shaw so far, though more new faces are expected before the transfer window closes. Woodward said: "It’s difficult to deal in hypotheticals based on lots of different things. The reality is that we’re not afraid of spending significant amounts of money in the transfer market. “Whether it’s a record or not doesn’t really resonate with us. What resonates is an elite player that the manager wants who is going to be a star for Manchester United. “Of course it’s in our capabilities.” Woodward maintains United can spend United have been heavily linked with the likes of Arturo Vidal from Juventus, Mats Hummels from Borussia Dortmund, as well as Juan Cuadrado, Arsenal's Thomas Vermaelen and Dutch trio Stefan de Vrij, Daley Blind and Kevin Strootman. He continued “You guys think about the money in a way that I don’t. I get pointed in the direction of a target that the manager wants and there is an assessment of what that might cost and I’ll negotiate hard to do the best I can on the trade. “I stand by what I said – there is no budget. We are in a very strong financial position. We can make big signings. That doesn’t mean we go and throw money around. Louis is the manager. We have a lot of scouting output through the last 12 months, flagging up various things to us. Louis is the one that makes the ultimate decision around who he wants in the squad. I’m not going to force feed him with a player that he hasn’t selected.” The club's 7th placed finish last season coupled with a host of departures from the first team squad means United are in need of a number of quality players, even though manager Louis van Gaal has asked for time to assess his squad. “We’re still looking at options. We’re not sitting on our hands waiting for Louis. He is very good at communicating clearly what he wants.” asking to be chop carrot. lol
Osprey23 Turbocharged July 24, 2014 Share July 24, 2014 asking to be chop carrot. lol But they really have lots if cash to burn. Woody is not lying. It is up to him to persuade clubs to release their star players and for him to convince the star players too join. Money is no problem :)
