See I say you are a genius liao... so fast make the connections between politics and every topic...

Maybe we can discuss the chances of transmitting ebola virus from the zoo or jurong bird park.... and how it can get into our water pipe system thru a crack... and possibly via the use of public phone... maybe toilet seat...

The best is to send everyone to the affected regions... thise who eventually survived will have immunity to this virus... then set a rule to ensure only they can reproduce..

The world will be safe

standalone containment unit at the airport for inbound flights from infected countries for screening might help to mitigate the risks

Dallas nurse is named as first US-based Ebola victim

The Dallas nurse who has become the first person to contract Ebola on US soil has been confirmed as Nina Pham.

The 26-year-old is said to be clinically stable after receiving a blood transfusion from an Ebola survivor.

Nursing colleagues are angry that she has been blamed for spreading the virus by breaching safety protocols while caring for an Ebola victim who had travelled from Liberia.

“No one could say what had happened and yet their initial reaction was to blame a nurse who was putting their life on the line in order to provide care for this patient, knowing that that could be a risk to her health and safety and even her life. We have been requesting training, equipment, the highest optimal level of equipment including hazmat (hazardous materials) suits,” said Katy Roemer, Registered Nurse and Spokesperson for National Nurses United.

Meanwhile Belgium is dealing with its third suspected Ebola case. The first two were false alarms but this time a person who has recently travelled to Guinea is undergoing tests in an isolation area in a Brussels hospital.

And in the UK, Heathrow Airport is to start Ebola screening for passengers flying in from at-risk countries ( Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone).

It will be introduced in Terminal 1, before being extended to other terminals, Gatwick Airport and Eurostar by the end of the week.

nah, relax lah, don't be an alarmist.

not I say wan . . .

not possible?

oh, now I see more clearly: 10,000 cases per week not now, but 2 months down the road in Dec 14.

alarmist newspaper to boost sale, maybe.

frankly, I dunno whether possible, but BBC also report this number.

Anyone read Dan Brown's INFERNO?

This is machiam Mother Earth doing a culling of the human species mentioned in said novel. The thought presented is both a scary and unusual one.

Hopefully a vaccine or cure is found very soon. There are just so many preventive measures one can take but with no available cure yet for such a contagious virus, one must be prepared for the worst.

Not saying to live in fear but to cherish life and loved ones even more.

Just my thoughts. I salute those who do battle against this disease despite the obvious danger to one's own life.

Keep well and safe. Dun anyhow play play with money.....I meant monkeys.
