Steptronic Supercharged August 2, 2018 Share August 2, 2018 It is 252 only. They have not touched the engine yet for base. Now base model have around 300 pony. If price remain the same seem like a better deal compared to pre FL

Bimmernic Clutched August 3, 2018 Share August 3, 2018 There are conflicting reports on this. Autocar UK mentions 300 bhp as have some who have heard from their UK sale reps. OTOH, some German reports indicated 250+ bhp but reduced to 240+ in EU to comply with WLTP standards. Guess we won't know until the official specs are out.

Throttle2 Supersonic August 12, 2018 Share August 12, 2018 To me, only 911 & 718 is Porsche. I only buy this 2 model from Porky if i got the moolah. I lagi strict. To me only 911 is a Porsche. Since we are at the topic of macan. I said it a few years ago right after the SEA private launch. Adjusted driver seat to my preferred position and got out to try the rear seat. Horribly cramp, driver seat already almost touching my knees. The rear space is comfy for kids under 120cm height So the Macan remains more for singles, couples or very young families. Or truly short people

Atachi 6th Gear December 18, 2018 Share December 18, 2018 (edited) Anyone considering the new Macan S? No S for me but the 2.0T. Car collection in Feb - Mar, coming from a 2015 Macan. Metallic colour + Options and 21" rims already 20k+. Was seriously considering the 3.0L especially the price of the 2.0L have increased by 10K due to CEVS while the S has remained the same. Personally 252bhp in our city driving is more then adequate. If you like power on the tap, then S. Edited December 18, 2018 by Atachi

How would you describe the rear seat for 3 adults? The new macan compared to the older version is available in only 2 variants, the power output seems muted, lower than the GTS. Currently very torn between ordering a souped by Macan, a base Cayenne or a Mercedes AMG GLE. The pain ..

The new macan compared to the older version is available in only 2 variants, the power output seems muted, lower than the GTS. Currently very torn between ordering a souped by Macan, a base Cayenne or a Mercedes AMG GLE. The pain .. I did initially considered the new Cayenne. You can see my post in the Porsche thread. Cayenne's interior is definitely more spacious especially the rear seat, had no problem stretching my legs as an adult. In terms of quality fit and finish i would say there are no difference from their top of the line 911 to the Macan. (at least for what you can see and feel) any difference will be because of options. Why did I settle on the Macan instead of the Cayenne? As much as I love the extra rear leg room, the overall size of the car is just too huge for my liking and a tad too big for our roads / car parks (at least for me). Also in terms of the drive, the Macan is definitely a more "fun" car. The Macan comes standard with the dual-clutch transmission (PDK) while the Cayenne a tiptronic S. Why didn't I move to other brands? The car in the last 4 years gave no major issues, their services were top notch with 5 years free maintenance and warranty. The other competitors for the Macan are mainly the GLC AMG, F-Pace, BMW X3/X4 M and SQ5. Each of these cars have it's pros and cons but in the end the Macan is a better all rounder (for me) also prefer it in terms of looks. The reviews for the 2019 Macan are out and once again almost all journalist mentioned it is at the top of its class. https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/porsche/macan/105452/new-porsche-macan-2019-review https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/porsche/macan/first-drives/porsche-macan-2019-review Regarding fitting 3 adults in the rear, I've done it before but it will be cramp but bearable with the adult on the center seat needing to "open" his/her legs due to the transmission tunnel. Two adults is pretty comfortable and it is not as bad as some make it out to be. It all depends on what car your coming from to the Macan. Yes, there are only two variants for the 2019 Macan for now but the GTS and Turbo will come some time next year (rumored to use the new twin turbo 2.9L engine from the Cayenne S). Your comparison of the AMG GLE and Cayenne if in a different price range and segment. If having 3 adults sitting comfortably in the rear is very important these will be a much better choice. A mid optioned Macan S will be near a base Cayenne.

I agree with you that the Cayenne and GLE might be too big of a car, which still leaves me with a AMG variant E-Class or the highest spec Macan. I'll drop by Stuggart and talk to them. Also, hows the culture like with Stuggart? Do they help to take in your car with overtrade and etc, or very atas with money talks culture?

Steptronic Supercharged December 19, 2018 Share December 19, 2018 Congrats. Are you getting MY2019? I test drove the Base version few days back, I feel no significant difference between S and base in terms of pick up. But the cold start sound from an S is insane. For this itself, paying the difference is worth! What are the options you chose? Turbo or Spyder wheels 21? No S for me but the 2.0T. Car collection in Feb - Mar, coming from a 2015 Macan. For this itself, paying the difference is worth! What are the options you chose? Turbo or Spyder wheels 21? Yes, the MY2019 with 21" Spyder. From some of the reviews the MY2019 2.0L engine sounds slightly better then the out going as mentioned in this review " Low-end torque is impressive in the 2.0-liter, and the exhaust note is throaty for a base model. It's a fun engine to play with, to wind out, and to enjoy. It revs willingly, and with the help of a standard seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission – one of Porsche's excellent PDK (or doppelkupplungsgetriebe, if you delight in the absurdity of the German language) units – the base Macan feels eager and pointy. That's often enough." https://www.motor1.com/reviews/295806/2019-porsche-macan-s-first-drive/ But nothing beats the 3.0L sound of the V6, hearing that thing ignite gives me chills every time.
