we all know most of the summon duties has been outsource to foreigners, some locals also

 

just to show how efficient they are....a case of EYE POWER [laugh]:D[:p] No wonder now summon pricing must increase, 1 ticket, so many mouths to feed

I have seen this situation where several parking wardens are summoned. These are usually when one warden suspect coupon tampering, and they activate their colleagues for help. Finally they will lay ambush or take turns waiting til the driver turn up. eventually police are called in.

I have to say we are much better than them. Just that they are cheap labour disguised as FT. Can't even speak local dialects nor Chinese and can only speak English and Tagalog. :angry:

I have to say that our Filipino assistants are generally better than our locals.

 

Even the mediocre ones are better than the average Singaporean. Of course there's is a selection process and we do give all locals chance. I will say that less than 1/3 of Singaporeans don't give us problems.

Theft, mc Kings, last minute don't turn up for work, bad attitude to customers.

 

We generally only hire 1 out of every 4 locals who come on probation.

The labour market is tight. And really quite a lot of Singaporeans cherry pick their jobs. Most SME don't have the luxury to not utilise foreigners.

For the big mnc, I think there should be some restriction on pmet hiring.

 

But Sme need foreigners.

Yes, you are right.

 

They could be discussing and checking if a coupon has been tampered with because it is not that easy to tell.

The final confirmation is still have to wait til the driver comes back and inspect the coupon when door is unlock.

i remember quite many years back - maybe more than 5 years when Nokia phones were the rage and I went to a service centre in Vivocity and almost most of the front staff was Pinoy and the heat they used to take from the consumers because Nokia phones were very prone to faults and mine too (motherboard as they say was replaced twice and still had problems going on and on) and I gave up and took one of the so called smart phones ; But I am pretty sure that many of the people whom used to come to the service centres having waited an hour would be boiling mad as it is and that too repeat visits and one can hear the next persons grouses so very clearly of the problems they encountered... how would a Singaporean fare in this situation?? .... pretty sure they would have thrown in the towel... 'cos we are trained not to fail

I work with them on a daily basis.

When they are upset, they usually don't escalate the confrontation. They will bitch about it later, but they are less likely to raise their voice or act hostile.

But it depends on the person's temperament of course.

 

I admit I'm impressed with them in this aspect cos I can be quite quick tempered [lipsrsealed]

Trained not to fail is one thing

 

Many young working PMETs nowadays are not trained how to accept and handle failure

 

I need to constantly teach them how to accept and handle failures in projects.

 

Sigh.............really lot of strawberry PMETs nowadays

Stomper Joyce sent in an apology on behalf of all Filipinos over the recent spate of insensitive media postings about Singaporeans made by a Filipino nurse and another Filipino guy.

 

The Stomper had also posted her apology on her facebook page.

 

The Filipino nurse, Mr Ello Ed Mundsel Bello, who made those offensive comments has been sacked by Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

 

After this incident, another Filipino guy's comments calling Singapore "trash" went viral online as well.

There are so many pinoys working in SG. It'd be easy to find a few fcuktards.

 

Most pinoy I come across in the service side are ok.

 

While I dislike the ilk of the TTSH pinoy, he is the minority.

 

There's a pinoy family living in my Mil block. They are considerate and the neighbours are OK with them.

 

Can see the family also very warm with each other. Father is sole breadwinner, I think.

 

Some of them do sink roots. Kids speak with a bit of Singlish.

 

Lately, they seem a bit withdrawn when I bump into them in the lift.

 

I hope they do not think that the SG folks living around them hate them.

 

My grandma was warded recently for kidney problems.

 

The pinoy nurses took care of her and she was happy with their care.

 

Point is, a lot of them (including some who are living in your homes) are contributing positively to our lives. Let's not forget them bec of a few idiots.

Tat is true for earlier batches of FT... imported like 10-15years back.... consistently of a high std be it PRC/ABnn/Pinoy....the last 5years... due to tgt imposed of 20-30k per yr... resulting a little or complete lack of checks ... we are being overwhelmed with crooks/low-lifes/swindlers or just out right criminals (especially white collar type)....

 

No denying tat there are good pple ... but they are far and few ... coz its is just how their countries function... rave with corruptions/brutality/no morals....

 

cannot deny we are really seeing all these negative impact now... and its hard to reverse... entire departments staffed by "own village"... it will spread further... to them its perfectly okay.. its not abt best man for the job... but connections in a perverse level... really dunno how MIW gonna clean up this mess....

 

this pinoy nurse and those got "caught" are just the few dumb ones... the rest are milking the island while smiling back at us...
