Did you change cvt fluid at MI or outside? What cvt fluid did you use?

 

MI maintenance schedule indicated 40k mileage to change cvt fluid, at $180 for the cvt fluid change itself, others like EO change and diff oil are separated. That orange color high torque cvt fluid costs $600++ per pail so if MI charges only $180 to do then its really quite cheap. Hmmm......

My mileage is 15k km and yet to change .. perhaps at 20k km since 1st time and then at 40 or 50k km depending if got extra funds ..keke !

 

AD ws do not flush and replace and I go to katc auto at ubi road to do so for my qashqai but it is not cheap as they need another 3-4l to circulate and dilute as much as possible .. 300+ excluding any needed filter replacement.

Not sure fna but fxt's stock battery is 48Ah nia which say good things and not bad things of the electrical design .. geting booster fuse installed and decided to upgrade one of the best Varta Silver Dynamic E39.

Note have to cut bottom tray cos 11" vs stock 10" but fit swee swee.

PS: great find on this neighbourhood battery shop with galore of Varta batteries and not paying about 500 at audio shops

Not sure fna but fxt's stock battery is 48Ah nia which say good things and not bad things of the electrical design .. geting booster fuse installed and decided to upgrade one of the best Varta Silver Dynamic E39.

From Lesun, the pail of HI-Torque CVT will cost you $450.00. If I am not wrong. The pail of is 18~20 liters, which is sufficient for many changes.

 

In TR690 transmission, there is a paper filter.

For the CVT maintenance; drain and fill will be sufficient. But have to ensure correct cvt fluid level in transmission during fill.

Hi Epsilon,

 

Yes. They are suppose to perform wheel balancing for all wheels during wheel rotation.

 

Depends on the tyre shop, the cost will vary.

 

Some might charge $10~$20 or more. Some provide free lifetime rotation and puncture repair.

Hi to all owners who might like to self install Cusco Master Brake Cylinder on Forester XT,

 

It is quite an easy process; with fours bolts, one spacer and one washer to be used.

 

The only difficulty encountered was tight working space.

 

Only simple tools required. Allen Key and Spanners.

 

Part number as provided in the pictures for those who buy online.

KC is awaiting for his fxt and only nicely sharing info.

 

For me, no significant difference after installation at BKS but I do have Ksport BBK and stock ride may or may not have more significant difference.

Just to share i just swapped my stock BS Dueler H/L 400 for 235/55/R18 Michelin Latitude Sport 3 for $1k ($250×4).

 

First impression was very very nice! Instantly the grip was much better than before and the steering response was way better than the botak-ing Dueler HL400s. It was raining when i took them to Msia over the weekend and the wet grip was good too. Aqua planning was to the minimum when going over puddles of water on Msia B roads. Puts a grin on me for a cool $1k spent!

Good to know and nice !

 

Believe added positive of heavier steering which is also less vague with 235 compared to stock 225 width ....

 

With our AWD, aqua planning performance is top notch and minimal loss of control even with significant water puddles.
