Bro, to be honest, the fight shall continue but with the way the football is currently played at Old Trafford and with that man in charge, we will not win the FA Cup and/or secured 4th place.

Agree, no fighting spirit, formation all set up for draw..

Much has been said of LVG and man utd in all corners of media round the globe.

after a while it becomes of self fulling prophecy and players themselves who read them also lose their self belief.

Its quite clear that after the initial steadying of the ship, there is something not quite right with the LVG "Philosophy".

May be it is not the "Philosophy" per se that is the problem but rather the application of it in EPL with the wrong type of players at the moment.

Young Players who were bought for their potential can't be consistent and apply the "philosophy"

Old dogs who are past their prime struggle to change their ways with the "philosophy"

An they are No leaders on the field to lead this "Philosophy"

It is not an easy situation and difficult to change

If the current malaise of 0-0 continues, then perhaps someone will be bold enough to change the "Philosophy" esp when the turn of the fans

bec too overhwleming

Lets clutch at straws at the moment and hope somehow somewhere someway things can change for the better

For supporting them the past 20 years, I feel that this patch is bearable, or at least comparable to the lull period when we were playing with Smith, Saha, Bellion, Djemba and Carroll as keeper.

This too shall pass, happy if we can make it to Wembley (semi?).

1 shot on target and it was a goal. 3 precious points for us.

Still, we didn't play good football and had to thank DDG for saving us a few times in the first half.

If LVG still couldn't get us back to champions league football by the end of the season, he still has to go.

credit must also go to the guy with the afro. as he outjumped  4-5 liverpool defenders to head the ball off the crossbar to Rooney [rolleyes]  [rolleyes]

Unless LVG wins the title, else he should be asked to leave. Yesterday's win was hardly something to be proud of.

For now, we just have to hope for the best till the end of the season.

Qualifying for champions league is paramount than to getting him sacked at the moment.

Yesterday's win will ensure he stays for the next decade.

Good news indeed.

Captain Rooney, Michael Carrick and Ashley Young went to see their manager at the Carrington training ground. Not for the first time, they had concerns. United's form was falling apart and the players wanted to air their views.

They expected resistance. Instead, they found an open door. Van Gaal had previously thought that everything was fine and that the grumbling was the norm at any football club but, with his side in freefall, he knew that all wasn't well, that his philosophy was becoming a matter of ridicule rather than respect.

For the first time since he took charge of United in July 2014, Van Gaal presented no opposition and gave the players what they asked for. That meant fewer meetings, fewer set meal times, and a return to exercise bikes before training and boxes during it.

That goes back to how things were done when United won doubles and trebles. Assistant coach Ryan Giggs would have more to do in training, while the team would try and play without the shackles which had made them hard to beat but hard to watch. Fearing for his job, Van Gaal relented.

so now we have a puppet manager?

LvG cannot win, can he? Insist on his way, people say he stubborn, old fashioned, not updated etc. Listen to players and he gets called puppet manager.

Lucky win perhaps but I thot the team in sporadic moments played like MU of old [thumbsup]

Agree, you need luck in football to win games sometimes. Though I dun disagree that we been playing like crap boring football these days, we do deserve the win for taking our chances, I mean chance (one shot at goal). and in all honesty, pools play like crap as well, just different way of crap... wahahahahah

Can, he should tender and give one month notice, that's the only way...
