  2. the new season starts with Man Utd's pre-season US tour... 1st game this Thurs... all the best for this season!!! GGMU!!! Sanchez not on Man United's flight for U.S. tour http://www.espnfc.com/manchester-united/story/3567675/alexis-sanchez-not-on-man-united-flight-amid-us-visa-issues-sources via @ESPN App http://es.pn/app
  3. Unbelievable action taken after a flight was over booked. How could this have taken place when it is not anyone's fault but the airline? The moment a screaming 'doctor' was KNOCKED OUT by cops and dragged off an overbooked United flight after he refused to leave when he was picked to give up his seat Read here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4396986/Passengers-film-moment-police-drag-man-United-plane.html
  4. Anybody know anything about this fund. Been invested in it for many years and its given some good returns from 7% pa a few years ago to2.5%pa recently. But over the last 6 months it has done nothing in fact it is now beginning to go down. What has changed???? Any thoughts. Also DBS used to have an Enhanced Income Fund, I think that's what it was called. But it doesn't appear anywhere I can see. Any ideas if it has changed names and what the new name is???
  5. Time for us to be great again! GGMU!!! Will JM bring champions league football back again? Will we even be champions of England?

  9. Man Utd's please fall in!! Time to Rock & Roll... A win at Home to tonight will deem them champion of English league and all guns will be blazing. Lets see whether the Gaffy will deploy 4-3-3 formation tonight with Hernandez, Roodney, RVP in the firing line and a playmaker Kagawa just behind them to orchestra and spray all through & deadly passes for the firer. Lets rock them hard and bring the roof down!! This is the night of Eternity for United fans!!
  10. This thread is for positive contributions only.. Flamers, please stay away.. Many thanks! As the season draws to a close soon, it's time for the transfer activities to start rolling.. Ferguson has announced that he will be looking to bolster his squad.. So who do you think Utd will sign for the new season? Utd has already signed Chris Smalling from Fulham and a certain Javier Hernandez, whom is a Mexico International.. I really hope Utd will bolster their attack by signing David Villa.. If there's anyone that can match Torres in the league, it's Villa.. It'll bring more goals to the team hopefully, and there'll be someone to share the goal scoring burden with.. In fact, Villa seems a more natural goalscorer than Rooney is.. Next, United will need a good midfielder.. I'm thinking Jack Rodwell.. That lad has impressed me.. Maybe one more playmaker in terms of David Silva.. It will bring extra flair and creativity to the midfield.. I dunno if SAF will bring in a keeper to replace VDS, but if he does, I hope it'll be Casillas (Fat hope! HAhaha).. Or a more realistic choice is Sebastian Frey.. Or maybe Buffon.. But Buffon will cost a bomb to sign.. Welcome all Utd fans in.. For all other fans, please refrain from posting unnecessary comments.. I seek your kind consideration.. Cheers.. :)
  11. Hi as mention..what will u think will be the score tonite?
  12. Barcelona masterclass Fergie: Barca the best I've faced May 28, 2011 Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson acknowledged the club's opponents in the Champions League, Barcelona, are the best team he has faced in his long and distinguished career. 'We were beaten, there is no other way to address the situation, by the best team,'' he told ITV1. ''I expected us to do better but at the end of the day we were beaten by the better team. They are the best team we have ever played, they are at the peak in this cycle of their team. ''There was good evidence we are a consistently good European team but we were beaten by the best team in Europe and there is no shame in that. Sometimes you come up against a far better team and tonight was one of those nights.'' Ferguson insisted United tried to play their normal game which was good enough the win the Premier League this season but they never got to grips with the way Barcelona retained possession and dominated midfield. clap clap
  13. Sharing my experience with this workshop, out of 10 customer maybe 8 or 9 of them are satisfied with them but most unluckily i belong to the 1 or 2 who is most unsatisfied with them. After several phone calls and checking with them, i finally decided to try them for the first time for my upcoming timing belt change. They assured me one whole day can do; i made an appointment in advance to ensure they have the free capacity and it was a Monday. When i was there observing their mechanic doing my car, he gives me zero confidence and true enough, there was problems. I was unable to collect my car on Monday and had to leave it there overnight till Tuesday. We took it for a test run and the engine was producing abnormal noises. I was too kind and took a taxi home at my own cost; they did mention that they will try to do something for me; probably some discount in the end of the bill but this was not the end of the story. I am sure if this had happen to anyone of you here, you would have bang hard and demand compensation in terms of replacement car or taxi claim; but i just took it too easy on them. Tuesday call me say i can only collect my car on Saturday. Due to timing belt change error, caused damage to my valves. Was told changed 8 valves (dunno how true but definitely not at my cost). Again i was just at their mercy and they offered me nothing for compensation. I call them everyday to find out the status as i wanted my car back asap and also the job done properly (but it was already too late, regretted deeply my decision to go there). Saturday went to collect my car late afternoon. When asked to pay the bill (for the timing belt change and others i requested earlier), there was no discount or compensation offered at all. Their excuse is cos they incurred costs for overhaul my engine due to their error. LL i pay and go off as i just dont feel like bringing this further anymore and in my mind i have decided to share this with everyone online. If i have more time, i will certainly share this with other related car forums as they service most conti brands. Car feels very different. Engine vibrates during low revs. You can even feel vibration at the pedal. Went back complain, they say cannot feel it and ask me observe. Was given 6 months warranty. Do not try this workshop. There are many others out there more capable. Just my luck.

  18. From Soccernet. Updated: January 23, 2010, 8:00 AM UK Wayne Rooney scored a sensational four goals to send Manchester United top of the Premier League at a mutinous Old Trafford. After opening the scoring just seven minutes into a one-sided contest against Hull, Rooney had to wait until a similar point before the end to get his second. A third, and his fourth United hat-trick, followed shortly afterwards from a cross by the excellent Nani before Rooney completed his own personal massacre of Phil Brown's men with a solo effort in stoppage time. It certainly confirmed Rooney's well-being ahead of that powderkeg Carling Cup decider with Manchester City next Wednesday and fuels Sir Alex Ferguson's belief his side are on the verge of something big. Victory and status are just part of the story at Old Trafford just now though. After using a large chunk of his programme notes to plead for unity in the stands, Sir Alex Ferguson must have been dismayed at the volume and regularity of the anti-Glazer chants that echoed around the ground. Ironically, it generated an atmosphere sometimes missing on days like this. But it is going to take more than mere words from Ferguson, as revered as he is at United, to ease the growing tension at debts that have now shot through the

  23. When Bill Shankley say football is more than life & death, this guy took it literally. From Soccernet: An Arsenal fan hung himself following his team's 4-1 aggregate drubbing by arch-rivals Manchester United in the Champions League semi-final, police said. Arsenal lost 3-1 to United in the second leg of their semi-final tie. Suleiman Alphonso Omondi, a 29-year-old Kenyan living in the capital Nairobi's Embakasi neighbourhood, hanged himself in his Arsenal shirt after the match. "We were watching the match at Bamba 70 pub, and when Arsenal was defeated, Suleiman just walked out in protest and he was crying," Calvin Otieno, one of his friends, said. "We didn't know he was going to hang himself until this morning when we received the reports and came here to find his body at the balcony," Otieno said outside the deceased's home. Arsenal slumped to a 3-1 defeat at home in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final, capping a disappointing season for the Gunners who were already out of the Premier League title race early in the season.
  24. A Man City fan, a Man U fan, and an Liverpool fan were all in Saudi Arabia, sharing a smuggled crate of booze. All of a sudden Saudi police rushed in and arrested them. The mere possesion of alcohol is a severe offence in Saudi Arabia. So, for the terrible crime of actually being caught consuming the booze, they were sentenced to death! However, after many months and with the help of very good lawyers, they were able to successfully appeal their sentence down to life imprisonment. By a stroke of luck, it was a Saudi national holiday the day their trial finished, and the extremely benevolent Sheik decided they could be released after receiving just 20 lashes each of the whip. As they were preparing for their punishment, the Sheik suddenly said, "It's my first wife's birthday today, and she has asked me to allow each of you one wish before your whipping." The Man City fan was first in line (he had drunk the least), so he thought about this for a while and then said, "Please tie a pillow to my back." This was done, but the pillow only lasted 10 lashes before the whip went through. The Man City fan had to be carried away bleeding and crying with pain when the punishment was done. The Liverpool fan was next up (he almost finished a half-can), and after watching the scene, said, "All Right! Please fix two pillows on my back." But even two pillows could only take 15 lashes before the whip went through again, sending the Liverpool fan sobbing and crying like a baby! The Man U fan was the last one up (he had finished off the crate), but before he could say anything, the Sheik turned to him and said, "You support the greatest team in the world, your city has some of best and most loyal soccer fans in the world. For this, you may have two wishes!" "Thank you, your most Royal highness," the grateful United fan replied. "In recognition of your kindness, my first wish is that you give me not 20,but 100 lashes." "Not only are you an honourable, handsome and powerful man, you are also very brave," the Sheik said with an admiring look on his face. "If 100 lashes is what you desire, then so be it. And your second wish? What is it to be?" the Sheik asked. "Tie that Liverpool fan to my back."
