compound different, eu one will harden faster cos meant for their weather which is cooler than ours

This is a myth. Their summer can be much hotter than ours (>40 deg C). And of course their winter can also be sub zero. So their tyres will have to undergo extreme temperature changes. If their thailand tyres are not designed for such extreme temperature fluctuations, then I would say the Europe compound is better.

I thought there are different model of tyres for summer and winter? PS3 is a summer tyre.

P.S. Anyone knows if the PS3 can do cross rotation rather than front/back ?

its supposed to be cross rotation, front back is for directional tyres

country produced are all stamped on tyre sidewall , salute the Tire company policy for being Open and transparent.

How about difference of Warranty and No Warranty.

It tell directly from Tire manufacturer official commitment rather than we all just leave it to seller to say what they want and some are unofficial information.

note that no flaming on any particular party

I personally wont buy product simply base on the country made only

products that carry a risk (for automotive only) like tyre / wheels particularly

prefer to have something reliable brand But not just country produced

whats the point getting a Products that made for market like America /EU which have entirely different road condition like particularly weather and even LHF /RHD also make some diff too.

If one only judge by the country made you might getting product that not suitable here (just My POV)

I will prefer a tyre that MIT or MIC with Tire company official warranty over the MIE without official warranty

anyway we have to make our wise decision and responsible for what we had made

thanks

Turbocharged

To simply conclude that that Made in Europe is better than Made in Thailand , without actually driven both types to compare , is low . Why , AMDK ?

I have not tried European PS3 before , but had a set of Thai ones two years back . I find the dry and wet grip , comfort , and durability well worth the money spent . But I wont say that they are better than Europe ones cos I have not tried the latter .

I asked the tyre shop the diff between MIT and MIE , the answer I got was that MIT are brought in by the Authorised Dealers , whereas MIE are brought in by parallel importers and it does not come with warranty . Now, again , we cannot just take the shops words as facts , it could be that he is trying to justify that his MIT ones are a better purchase , who knows ?

I would say that a shop selling MIE will say Europe is better ; and vice versa .

It's the same scenario like the Honda Vezel. Thai assembled one brought in by Kah Motors and Japan assembled one brought in by Parallel importers.

Kah Motors, in protecting their interests, will naturally say the Thai assembled one is built for local climate. By the way, it shares an identical engine as the City.

But you do your own intelligence and decide which one makes sense.

Japan made Vezel has these edges:

- Extra 10 horses under the bonnet

- DOHC against Thai assembled's SOHC

- CVT against Thai assembled's dated 5 speed auto

- At least $10K cheaper

I am not intelligence enough to compare these car with the tyre case

cars are sold to you with Official registration by our local authority (LTA) road worthiness . (should your registered car has any technical issue related to Safety you can seek redress through LTA (like Recall)

PI tyres are sold to you which tire maker openly stated does not carry any factory warranty due climate / road condition / possible improper storage during transition etc. (note I am not saying those PI are inferior product)

Make your own wise choice.

I personally do own PI car before and ok with them for saving of $20,000 outfront , after 3years fast fast let go (some of you may know Why?)
